Anti-war, civil rights movements a role model.

It was the law.

And liberals were determined to sabotage that law.

To hold America hostage — in the middle of a war no less — until the law was repealed. Until the war was stopped.

To do it, they used the Three C’s.

Civil Disobedience.

The Culture.

The Congress.

Let’s start with the law the Left was determined to overturn.

That would be the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, passed by Congress on August 10,1964 at the request of a popular president, Lyndon B. Johnson. The resolution authorized the president “to take all necessary steps, including the use of armed force, to assist any member or protocol state of the Southeast Asia Collective Defense Treaty requesting assistance in defense of its freedom...

The Marxists have been gnawing at the foundations of this Republic since long before Lyndon Johnson. They have become like a snowball rolling downhill, gathering size and strength with every turn. The end will not be pretty.

Karma

Barack Hussein Obama, a man with no record of personal accomplishment, no leadership experience, and a man with strong connections to terrorists, criminals, racists, and anti-American Communists pulled it off and was re- elected President of these United States. What does this re-election mean and what does it say about the American people? Could it be that karma will finally bestow the consequences of dishonorable behavior on the American people?

Why do I say this? In answer to my question, let me remind you of this statement and where these words took the American people:

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”

John Fitzgerald Kennedy Inaugural address, Friday, January 20, 1961

With these words ringing in our ears, my generation went to Vietnam and promised the Vietnamese people we would stand shoulder to shoulder with them until their freedom was secure and the enemies of liberty were defeated. But, it is to America’s eternal shame and disgrace that the American people soon grew tired of this noble endeavor and betrayed the very people who had believed and trusted us.

The American people elected Democrats to our Congress who had rather see American soldiers killed and our country defeated than allow a Republican president to receive credit for defeating our enemies. This Democrat led Congress (the infamous 93rd) cut off funding for the Vietnam War and forced the withdrawal of American combat troops in 1973, but we departed with the hollow promise that we would return if the Republic of South Vietnam was invaded by communist North Vietnam. As everyone must remember, this, again, was a lie.

The tactic we had taught the South Vietnamese was to, when invaded by the North, fall back to a defendable position, stall the communist advance, force the communists to mass their forces before South Vietnam’s defenses, and this would allow time for American forces and air power to return to assist them as we had promised. South Vietnam did just that; for twelve days, outnumbered ten to one, the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) held and stalled the communist’s advance outside Saigon near a little town called Xuan Loc.

Outside Xuan Loc during April 1975, in an effort as gallant as that of the Spartans at Thermopylae, the ARVN 18th Infantry Division held two North Vietnamese Army Corps at bay for twelve days. Every infantryman in the ARVN 18th Infantry Division died in that stand. None ran away and none survived. They died to a man fighting overwhelming odds and believing to the end we Americans would return as promised.

Just before the last ARVN soldier of the 18th Infantry Division died, he might have rolled over on his back and looked to the sky hoping to see the contrails of American B-52 bombers and he saw nothing. This last ARVN soldier then knew that he, along with all the Vietnamese people, had been betrayed. With his dying breath, this soldier must have then turned his gaze heavenly and beseeched God to Damn America.

Yes, there is such a thing as karma where dreadful consequences are meted out in recompense for dishonorable behavior. The American people’s just rewards for abandoning a valiant ally during their time of need could have been that the chickens came home to roost on the American people with an Obama Presidency, a Nancy Pelosi Congress, a Harry Reid Senate, a John Roberts Supreme Court, and it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving people.

The election of 2008 and re-election of 2012 was about more than just Obama, his arrogance, his empty resume, and his traitorous comrades. Just as karma provides consequences for dishonorable behavior, there are also adverse consequences for irresponsible behavior. As a people deserve the government they vote into office, they also deserve the consequences resulting from that government’s actions or inaction. The consequences of a government not securing a country’s borders is that a people will lose their country as we are now losing ours to an invasion of illegal immigrants. The consequences of not securing a country’s electoral processes to prevent voter fraud is the country will lose its Democracy to a Thugocracy as we have lost ours to a Chicago-mob run Coup d’état.

But the final insult to our Democracy is with the election of Barack Hussein Obama, an avowed Marxist Communist, a significant chapter in American History finally closed. Our sixty-odd year long Cold War with Communism is over and the Communists won the war.

These words precede those of President Kennedy, so no one can say we didn’t see this coming:

“We cannot expect the Americans to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving Americans small doses of Socialism until they suddenly awake to find they have Communism.”

Nikita Khrushchev, 1959

As we Americans continue to live out the old Chinese curse, “May you live in interesting times.”

Thank you for your service! The re-education camps never worked. When I recently visited Saigon the people (as young as their 20s) know what your intentions were and consider YOU to be a hero.

I posted this abreviated reply urging the Viet Nam defunding eposode be brought up as a rebuttal in one of the postings shown below

They were fleeing South Viet Nam through its closed US embassy because American support was withdrawn and denied .Leaving its army running out of ammo and conviction. Sold out by an American congress controled ironically by Democrats that.decided to shed its support for a democratic form of government to what became a US ward for a socialist/communist replacement . It was a harbinger of what that political party will bring to the US 50 years later.

Because of Obamacare most recalling of defunding\ governemnt shutdowns simply goes back to Gingrich’s time when he was Speaker. This earlier defunding/ government shutdown had profound implications where hundreds of thousands died because of it. Like the constitutional constrains on central government.

That abandonment of Viet Nam is hardly if ever mentioned or discussed in classrooms despite American humiliation could be demonstrated in that film clip described in this articles lead paragraph.. Because it was created by the Democrat party responding to the socialist/communist radicals that had taken over the “liberal arts eduicational industry” and were slowly taking that party over as well..

Not only did we lose a war because of it. But those same university socialist educators which encouraged this defunding , and dis-honoring the of the 58,000 deaths of our military. Also encouraged their charges to use humiliation such as calling retuning servicemen “baby killers” (only later to kill their own) and spitting in their faces

Their educational products like Professor William Ayers are now on their own, and his protoge Barack Hussain Obama are borrowing a military term, on R&R . Running and Ruining destroying this country . For this time the same group are now in control of that political party.

And this exchange is what I received from this FR. I post it to show just how far revisionist teaching reaches.

Sicko :”Not only did we lose a war because of it.”
Vietnam was a cluster-..ck. Johnson had no business scamming us into a war that he didnt have a clue how to win. And probably there was none. His big plan was ‘wait it out and throw US boys at it till they give up’ Well ‘they’ weren’t giving up because their country was there and ours was here. What lost that war was that the NVN soldiers were willing to fight and our allies the South SVN army expected us to fight for them, to do their jobs.

”What lost that war was that the NVN soldiers were willing to fight and our allies the South SVN army expected us to fight for them, to do their jobs.

Mosesdapoet:
Is that what you learned in school ? You sure as hell didn’t serve there. I hope other FR’s who served there will respond to your stupid rant.”

Sicko:
Those men were drafted. Then they served one year there and got out. Going there was like choosing the short straw. The French learned their lesson and got out but Johnson trying to not look weak wanting to promote his Great Society stuck us there without any thought as to how he would end it.

One of my favorite idiot movies to laugh at is the Green Berets with John Wayne. In that he makes it look like Vietnam was like MacArthur and the Japanese. “Someday I kill all stinkin Cong’ says Japanese Sulu the homo, playing the SVN officer.

THE NVN Communists were willing to fight and die to win, those losers in the South were not and instead they expected us to do it for them,.By the time Nixon got it the was over, Americans had long lost patience.

Mosesdapoet :”If you spouted off to me in person or to a Marine or a member of the volunteer Airborne forces who were doing the combat, as you have here you might (should) get knocked on your stupid ignorant butt “

Sicko ;You old geezers would have to let go of your walkers first, This isnt 1979 BAWHAHAHAHA

The other day at the office, one of my co-workers asked me how it was that I served multiple tours in Vietnam as a combat infantryman and I didn’t get PTSD. My rather flippant answer was “I didn’t get PTSD in Vietnam, I gave it.”

However, this PTSD question made me wonder what PTSD is and what the symptoms are, so I did a little research on the subject and found that I did indeed possess symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) concerning a traumatic and very stressful incident that occurred during my last tour in Vietnam. I was a professional soldier when the traumatic incident occurred and had accumulated over six years in Vietnam engaged occasionally in close combat with a vicious and cunningly capable enemy, but the traumatic event was not as a result of close combat with this enemy.

One day when I was totally focused on closing with and destroying the enemy, something caught my eye, I looked around and found a new enemy had unexpectedly appeared behind me; it was the American people. The same Democrat Party who had originally sent me to Vietnam promising that, “We shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and success of liberty,” had now sided with the Communists I was fighting. They were parading in the streets of the United States under a Viet Cong flag, were quoting from Mao’s Red Book, and were spitting on and flinging insults at returning Vietnam Veterans. Then, a Democrat led Congress cut off funding for the Vietnam War, American combat troops were withdrawn and we abandoned a valiant ally to their fate.

I was ordered out of Vietnam in 1972, and when I arrived at Travis Air Force Base, purposely in the dark of the night, I was advised to change out of my uniform and put on civilian clothing to avoid being attacked by the American people when I entered San Francisco. I was not at all surprised when a few decades later these same people elected a Marxist-Communist as President of what was once my country.

Yes, the deep, burning hatred I feel for the Democrat Party to this day could be diagnosed as a symptom of PTSD, and I assure you, every Vietnam Veteran I know feels the same way.

What would happen if masses of anti-Obamacare Americans began practicing the first C — Civil Disobedience? Filling jail cells for refusing to either have health insurance or paying the fine? Sitting in at federal buildings or any building housing those involved in running the so-called “exchanges” around the country? Deliberately disrupting the machinery of government health care as anti-war demonstrators once disrupted the government war machinery.

This could get very interesting.
