WASHINGTON, DC House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) released the following statement regarding the bipartisan Senate agreement to reopen the federal government and avoid a national default:
The House has fought with everything it has to convince the president of the United States to engage in bipartisan negotiations aimed at addressing our country's debt and providing fairness for the American people under ObamaCare. That fight will continue. But blocking the bipartisan agreement reached today by the members of the Senate will not be a tactic for us. In addition to the risk of default, doing so would open the door for the Democratic majority in Washington to raise taxes again on the American people and undo the spending caps in the 2011 Budget Control Act without replacing them with better spending cuts. With our nation's economy still struggling under years of the president's policies, raising taxes is not a viable option. Our drive to stop the train wreck that is the president's health care law will continue. We will rely on aggressive oversight that highlights the law's massive flaws and smart, targeted strikes that split the legislative coalition the president has relied upon to force his health care law on the American people.

No wonder we're so screwed, even our "leader(s)" falls for the demoncrap lies.
Each member of congress will answer to their constituency for their vote. I have a say, regarding McConnel. He’s running in 2014. I’ll vote democrat before I vote for him. I really hate career politicians, regardless of party.
Pick up the pace? Exactly!
To fight ObamaCare, we need to post horror story after horror story of ObamaCare’s failures.
And we also need to tell the kids they’ve been snookered by “the One”.
We might also remind the weak-minded that a “healthcare” bill written by lobbyists for America’s biggest insurance companies is NOT going to reduce insurance industry profits.
I also think we need to start talking about how gangster government relies on fake crisis after fake crisis to steal the people’s money. The next fake crisis on the debt limit arrives in just 3 months...
There is simply no way to win fighting the SIGNATURE legislation of the opposition party when you only hold one piece of the government!

Resign your office, Mr. Boehner. Then you can spend as much time as you want out on the golf course where you belong.
Have heard that, but at least one credit agency says otherwise, so they obviously are listening to the Obama admin saying there isn’t enough money. Not worth the risk.
Really? That’s the BEST they could do?
Right out of the box he’s using Dem/MSM talking-points. THAT’s the ‘best that could be expected’? The GOPe vilified Cruz/Lee, and Boehner couldn’t raise an objection? How about the poor old Constitution or the economic enslavement of our posterity?
Where the HELL was Boehner/McConnell EVERY DAY of this ‘shutdown’ HAMMERING point after point after point? NO WHERE.
Don’t piss on my leg...rain...you get the picture. If a (L) like me can be this f* pissed-off, I don’t see how ANY (C) can give such a flippant remark.
Note that I said “May” and the proof will be a year from now.
If we had delayed Obamacare until after mid/late 2014, we would have taken the Dems off the hook, at least partially.
We should send him kleenex. His face seems to have something on it.
Well, there's no legal requirement that the speaker be a Congressman, so I suppose Senator Cruz could try, but I don't think he would get far.
Good summation.
The GOP is done. Stick a fork in it.
The press knew that he would cave.

That’s not all. The market was up strongly this morning. They knew as well.
And notice congress and it’s staff still get huge subsidies. That fact that the American people aren’t in the streets shows just how far gone we are. If everyone could get on the healthcare website and get prices, they might yet get into the streets.
Just means an economic implosion is inevitable. This solves none of the financial problems. Chase bank now looks like it is having troubles. So in the end, we will have our zombie apocalypse and the revolution.
GOP didn’t have much credibility to begin with. Now its totally destroyed. And worse, it handed over its power of the purse to the president and senate. This sets a terrible presedent that will never be reversed.
I don’t know. I just talked to a couple in Michigan that had their insurance cancelled because it didn’t meet Obamacare standards. They were paying 420 per month.
They called to get a new price for what they must have, turns out they will get more coverage with about the same co-pay and deductable. For 340 dollars a month, plus the government pays a 10,000 subsity to the Insurance Co.
Only in America!
Just means an economic implosion is inevitable.

Lost in all this debate is the stark fact that the U.S. has a serious spending addiction. It cannot stop spending despite the fact that it has to borrow to keep the game going. At some point the music will stop.
Boehner=sellout
