America, meet Rome.

Ronaldus Magnus = Augustus (Peace & Prosperity).

GHW Bush = Tiberius (War & Mediocrity).

Clinton = Caligula (Both were sex maniacs. One made his horse a senator; the other...basically the same thing).

GW Bush = Claudius (Inarticulate but a good administrator).

Zero = Nero (No comments required).

I guess the architects were right. He lost by two touchdowns instead of four is not something to dance in the endzone about. Maybe if we learn to communicate our ideals in an upbeat and positive way instead of snarling at the rest of the country we might win some games. Nothing wrong with the ideals we support, our problem is the messaging. It never helps to win elections when a very large segment of the electorate thinks you are nuts. I know its unfair, but its reality, no matter why.

Booker was out fund raising in Hollywood two weeks ago. That is what Lonegan said, CA doesn't need a third senator. Also, Bloomberg donated $1 mil last week.

So all the people from other states that know Steve Lonegan's name, he said he didn't need as much money as Booker--just enough to get his message out. He was outspent something like 11 to 1. Yet he is now known nationally.

We could have done without the 16th, 17, 18th, and 19th Amendments.
All those gave rise to the humongous federal beast.

I’d rather vote for someone that makes his positions known than someone that would sell his soul in the name of bi-partisanship, as he talks out both oracles.

“Next up to thoroughly embarrass itself will be (my unfortunately bluing state of) Virginia, unless something very miraculous happens in that election. But God doesn’t seem interested in working miracles these days.”

If He was going to give us a miracle, He would have stopped us from running a crooked loon in the first place. Cuccinelli managed to make that scumbag McAuliffe look respectable by comparison.

We need a hard look in the mirror, because He’s not going to solve these problems for us. God helps those who help themselves.

LOL, keep telling yourself it’s the messaging. It’s the country amigo, not the “messaging”. There are more of them than there are us.

Have a look at the County breakdown of the New Jersey election at the following site and you will see that it complies exactly with the ethnic breakdown:

I actually cast a real ballot for Lonegan around 10am this morning, did you. It is the athlete in me, I hate losing. A moral victory is for losers. I don’t have the answers, but I want us to get some really smart people to figure out how to win, because losing is for losers. My opinion is that when it comes to messaging, we suck. That goes for the establishment and the Tea Party. Both entities are rife with incompetents and grifters. I’m a cynic at heart, a misanthrope you might say, so I think 90% of the population are goat ropers.

Very true!

A LEADER.... draws people TO HIM (/HER).

Leaders don’t live in the SQUISHY middle.

I applaud you for looking for answers within reality. You might be right. If I come to that way of thinking, and it is possible, it would be a waste of our time to even think about politics. It would become time to look out for #1. Get all you can get for yourself and family no matter what.

It wouldn’t of mattered. The facts are that both Corzine and Lautenberg both lived in Manhattan as in the state of New York. So if Booker actually lives in lets say West Orange instead of Newark, the story would’ve been at least he lives in state, as for mayor, the previous one lived in Monmouth County, 40 miles away. They would say, at least in lives in Essex County.

It wouldn't or doesn't matter, because they are always left unchallenged.

IF, the republican party wanted to make an issue of it, they could. You can bet if the shoe was on the other foot, the dems would.

If nothing else, the shutdown was good to see people actually challenge something after all these years.

It is past that time. Republicans can still win majorities in states and Congress but the trend is that they can not win national elections. Too many in the left coalition. So yes my advice to conservatives is to raise your children and grandchildren to be self sufficient and able to defend theirs. I will always vote for conservatives where and when I can but I do it with my eyes wide open.
