Forget it, it’s over.....I went through this nonsense the night of the Presidential election, all those false hope stories, that I believed. I vowed to never be that naive again.

USA Today is calling it for Booker. I’m beyond sad. I’m going to bring out the ice cream.

Bummer.

Once they are inculcated that the plantation is the place to live, there is no convincing them otherwise.

NO, there are LIV's from ALL backgrounds.

“Many voters are also one-issue voters, or have self-interest at heart.”

It was weird to hear Booker alluding to abortion in debates; here in NJ I thought we no longer have the luxury of fighting about that. The state is in a fiscal death spiral, and I can’t believe many voters even takes abortion into account when they’re losing their jobs and homes. I’ve always and only voted for pro-life candidates (and that will never change), but we never had to pay the same price in other areas that Dem voters paid.

Media called it for Romney in the primary in Ohio, too. Turned out that wasn't correct. It ain't over until the fat lady sings.

I live in Hudson County, and when I went to vote there wasn’t one other person there.

Hudson County here too. I had a similar experience this morning when I voted. I saw only two other people there.

Another thing that surprised me is that although I live in a very densely populated part of the county, I saw only one single Booker sign in the neighborhood the past few weeks. That said, I am not surprised to see Hudson at about 80/20 Booker right now.

How bout those 19th and 26th Amendments!

Seems to me like the imbeciles who voted this communist son of a muzzie loving whore into office will still have the franchise for a long time to come.

The real enemy is right next door.

There is always that problem anywhere when votes are close. The Dems can always manufacture those votes they need.

But in New Jersey, we have been FLOODED with “immigrants” from the New York Metropolitan Area. They are almost all congenital Democrats. Additionally, there are large areas in Hudson, Bergen, Passaic, Union, Middlesex, Mercer and Camden Counties with large black and Hispanic populations. Both of these groups in New Jersey traditionally vote for any candidate who is black or Hispanic - unless they are Republican.

Excuse me, but a Republican Primary is much different than a General Election.

I'll agree the MSM is no help, but even the GOP, elected and otherwise are ignorant or play the TP card.

People like Dana Perino and Karl Rove spit the words out like a curse.

At the same time, those democrats stick together like horse manure on a shoe.

“My question is why the hell do we have so many stupid people in this country?”

The fault, sadly, lies with us.

We have forgotten the lessons Reagan taught us, that conservatism is a philosophy best expressed with a smile. It is, or ought to be, based on our best nature, the dangerous notion that free men and women know best how to run their own lives. It’s sunny and optimistic, and in that context a winner.

But we’ve gotten so used to our echo chamber that we’ve forgotten how to preach our particular gospel to those most desperate to hear it. Instead our loudest voices are also the most strident, and we’re losing the mushy middle we need to win elections.

I pray this race, which could have been won, is a wake up call for us. If not, we will have a long series of national elections ahead of us.

Hudson (Jersey City), Essex (Newark), Union Counties are alone providing the near 90,000+ vote cushion for Booker. There simply is not enough votes in the rest of the state to offset that, and that’s not including Booker leading in Bergen (Northeast of NYC), Mercer (Trenton), Atlantic (AC), and Camden.

“It maybe Time for 3rd party.”

Unfortunately the system (unlike Europe) is designed for two parties. The only political spending I do now is NRA dues; my parish doesn’t need and the Church doesn’t deserve my money.

I agree.. Unless it somehow can split along red/blue lines, America is marching inexorably toward drain-circling oblivion. Too many now want their government freebies, too many women demand a right to a dead baby, we’re too fearful to defend the borders, and our sense of “nation” is all but gone.

You’re right.....the US system would need to be modified into something like a Continental European system, like Germany or something like that, where third parties can have a very profound impact on the political process.

Dana Perino and Karl Rove (and Fox NEws) are Democrats for all intents and purposes. The Republicans now are Giuliani Republicans (fiscal conservatives, social liberals); the TEA Party is now the American Party (along the lines of the founding fathers).
