Good morning Free Republic and good morning to the GREAT STATE of NEW JERSEY!
Get up and go to you polling place!! VOTE FOR STEVE LONEGAN TODAY!!
And with that -- I am off to do my civic duty and to make America proud!!
(hope this isn't a repeat thread!)
Are there any 3rd party or write ins on the ballot?
Do you have a feel for the mail in ballot request?
No, I would never go to Newark to check on ANYTHING.
I’m going by what I heard from a variety of sources I hope are reliable, but no eyewitness accounts from anyone I know.
Team Booker must KNOW that they can’t count on Newark to come through for him with flying colors , and I would be very surprised to learn that the DNC hasn’t already “taken care of” that possibility.
GO STEVE!!
is anybody on the ground doing get-Out-The-Vote today?
Come on Jersey do the right thing. Vote Lonegan!
Go go Lonegan! Booker is trash
I still don't think he has a chance in NJ, but I hope to be proven wrong!
Yes like the Illegals ( who needs to jump over the border) and the Dead (that needs to rise).
Going to suck if the House votes for the cave and Lonegan wins.
Voted this morning in Barnegat (Jersey shore) Wasnt busy at all. Mostly retired types at the polling place. Have seen Lonergan signs, no Booker ones.
Voted in Mt Olive, reliably Republican Morris County. No lines at 7:00 am...we have to be realistic about this race. Lonegan will probably lose. I hope not, but if he is in single digits it will be stunning. I work in Newark. It’s still a cesspool and the residents hate their Obama-lite mayor but they are just as likely to vote for him to get rid of him as they are to not vote at all. Such is NJ. Your suburban female voter will also vote for Story Booker because he seems like a nice guy and they think he’s cute. I’ve had more than a few women tell me this. Men will vote for him too in slightly larger percentages than for your typical Dem candidate.
I don’t mean to be pessimistic, but the reality is this state is lost for so many reasons. What is encouraging is that Lonegan attacked Booker’s weaknesses and went after him. This is how we will eventually win elections. Draw out the differences and provide an alternative. Republicans have never learned that this is a long war and you win battles and small tactical engagement so that someday you win the war. Steve is a hell of a soldier in the battle.
Why didn’t Christie nominate Lonegan for the Seat in the first place, instead of putting some lame duck in there that said beforehand he wasn’t going to run for the seat.
So the guy gave a little token endorsement....Talk is cheap.
Thank you for your prayers!
PS: I set my alarm early to vote (not for Booker!) before work and was so worried about being on time, I wore 2 different black shoes to work and didn’t realize until noon time! I was voter #5 in my district.

Yes, I saw some democrat operatives at the local cemetary taking names of grave stones. When I asked what they were doing they said “digging up some votes for Corey.”

You are not being pessimistic but realitistic. Look, Governor Tubby (GOP-e) screwed Lonnegan by having this election now instead of in November such that Steve’s name could appear on the ticket wtih Christie. As much as I detest Tubby, he is popular and could have pulled through a ton of votes for Steve.
