My prediction - Boehner will bring the bill to vote without the support of the majority of the majority. There will be at least the 18 needed and likely more RINO's vote for it. In effect, the will be surrendering the constitutional authority for the House to control the purse strings to the executive branch. Today, the Constitutional Republic dies and will be replaced by a democracy. The scales forever tip in favor of the takers. The mob now rules.
100%
Let’s start referring to it as Mc Connellcare.
Wow-you’re making sense-who let you in here? At some point you have to realize you don’t want to die on that hill and live to fight another day.
I believe that we are about get betrayed one more time. But whatever happens, we have to keep fighting. Or I am. I refuse to surrender to the bastards. I was born free and when I die, I will die free. We, given our small number and the forces that are arrayed against us, have accomplished a lot. We have delayed Obama’s and his puppet’s agenda from being implemented by at least two years, probably more. The battle we are now fighting was supposed to be a sealed deal by now. Keep fighting My FRiend, and never forget, that it is not the size of the dog in the fight that makes a difference. It the size of the fight in the dog.
Well said my FRiend. Tea party is not running the government. Dems and RINOs are. But we can fight, influence, affect and generally clog up the works as resistance guerilla fighters.
Anyone who is relying on John Borhner to stand tough and somehow defeat ObamaCare is sadly mistaken. Having said that the fight continues. The masses will eventually turn on their masters when those checks slow down and socialized services are curtailed ...but will it be too late?
And please tell me how putting forward candidates that don't win elections will stop the march of big government.
You are right about Obamacare - it is in place and it will be almost impossible to get rid of it. But the time to worry about that was in 2012 when many conservatives were saying better Obama taking the country down than Romney slowing the decline. How's that working out for you?
The time to fight to stop something is before it starts. We need to kill amnesty NOW. But this loss is going to make it harder.
The candidates who “win elections” speak against big government then to go Washington to continue its existence and vote for even more of it like George W. Bush’s Medicare Part D and the GOP led TARP bailout of 2008.
The deal is essentially done, sources say, as aides for Harry Reid finish drafting the legislative language to be
signed by the wepublicans Tuesday night.
I disagree. Politics in a Representative Republic is about inspiring, leading and shaping public opinion so you can win elections and get the legislators to count. The time to do that is BEFORE the election, because if you and your allies don't win the election, you don't get to pass what you want passed.
President Reagan first won the election, then got done some of what he wanted. President Obama first won the election and is now getting done some of what he wanted. In neither case did they do that by only sticking to their 100% allies, they formed coalitions. As the great President Reagan said: "The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally not a 20 percent traitor."
Make no mistake, if an armed revolution starts, most of the US Military will be with the established government, most of the armed police will be with the established government.
Who said anything about a war? The revolution is the change of sentiments of a large enough percentage of the population.
There may be a secession, but I do not foresee an outright armed struggle over the white house.
but before any of that happens... we will stop this government through electing “bomb throwers and arsonists” to the federal government to burn that place down. Figuratively... Of course...
