I ma pretty sure the idea now is to shut the House out of it and use some sort of order to override any House objections. Either that or find some way to get the House to cave one very singe demand from the Senate and WH. Once the House GOP stopped making it about Obamacare they essentially lost the war, at least that is what it seems like.

There was some mention of a procedure the House Democrats could use to get around Boehner stopping any vote on something like the Reid proposal....
Called a Discharge petition...Democrats are busy signing up for it...will need a few Republicans to sign up also.
Apparently if they get enough signatures they can force a vote in the House.

With the Obama care bill IIRC the senate found some obsolete rule that Louise slaughter of NY found, that when the bill reached the senate they would ‘deem’ it passed,with out voting on it, or something to that effect..
