And at least one of the military radiologists who was involved was demoted or something. Maybe reassigned...
It was suggested that a cavity had been drilled from the front of a lead round, replaced with mercury, and covered with wax. The round disintegrated in such a way that no part of the round was recovered and the gun could not be identified. The xray would just show a cloud of mecury in his brain. The shot was supposedly into the top of the head according to the story.
