I would be perfectly willing to give him 6 months provided we have guarantees that no gun control or immigration reform bills come up between now and then. that’s just me though.

I’m thinking a good solid bitch slap would have snapped him out of his messiah complex.

Barry will hold out and the GOP will capitulate completely.

THAT is a guarantee .

"In the case of the House Republicans in particular, there's an indication of a recognition that we need to remove default as a weapon in budget negotiations — that the threat of default should not be used and that default itself is never an option."

I'm so sick of these liars.

As most here know, there is no danger of default. Carney, just like his boss and most of DC and the media that covers them, is a liar.

They are all liars. And they control our lives and they are fixing to control our children's lives.

Drudge headline says Obama wants fully funded Obamacare, raise the debt ceiling, reopen the Gov’t and eliminate the sequester cuts. I guess he thinks the Pubbies will capitulate. I’m sick.

When Reagan took office in 1981, the sentiment about the USSR was that it was the inexorable expression of the will of history. It had to be dealt with as a natural fact. Reagan had another view - “We win, they lose.” He stood up to the Soviets on all levels and faced them down. I figure that Congress, with just ten percent of Reagan’s resolve, could face down the community organizer/agitator.

A six week extension is a whole lot better for him than none.

It’s all the Republican House members are willing to give him, and if the Senate Republicans don’t ride to his rescue Saturday it’s all he’s gonna get.

It’s actually funny.

The GOP is trying to sell us out and Obama won’t let them.

Let it HAPPEN! Let the damnable government spend right up to the debt limit, and challenge the a$$clown in the WhiteHut to a showdown. Keep the message out to the people...

The pubbies have passed a CR to keep the government open. The dhimmicraps refuse to consider it.

The pubbies in the House have NO OBLIGATION to raise the debt ceiling.

The outcome of hitting the debt ceiling SHOULD be that FedGov is immediately forced to live within its means, and prioritize outgoing payments. The gubmint gets about $220 billion EVERY month in revenues. Currently the debt service is $24 Billion. That’s manageable. Upcoming redemptions are a different story. In recent times, it appears, the gubmint has been rolling the redemptions to new debt. Without an increased debt limit, that won’t happen, so another alternative needs to be undertaken.

The down side, here, is that Zero and 0bamunists get to decide what gets paid...

The dhimmicraps are the hold up on this stuff, but I’m all for letting the debt ceiling remain where it is and let’s see what happens. It’s insanity to keep raising it. We will never repay all of it, anyway. Let’s stop the madness, deal with the fallout, and move forward.

Obama is in default. He has almost doubled the national debt in almost 5 years. Let him choke on it...

I’m glad he rejected it. Gasoline is down to 2.99 and headed lower. When it gets back down to 1.00/gal, then he can reopen the government. Although he should keep the EPA in shutdown mode.

This is why I wasn’t all that upset over the apparent “cave” by the GOP in this specific case - Obama is too tied to the need to WIN that he can’t accept anything less than complete abdication by hos political foes.

Time for Boehner to say that we tried to talk sense to the moron, but no more offers until he puts some concessions on the table.
