Back in 2008, when then-candidate Obama promised Joe the Plumber and the rest of America that he intended to spread the wealth around, most democrat and liberal voters embraced the notion of wealth redistribution under the guise of equality. A universal health care plan, that would be free for all Americans, was the promise from the candidate of hope and change.
Tens of millions of Americans jumped on the bandwagon waving their flags, fainting at his appearances, and fawning over his every word.
None ever thought about where the money would come from for all this new found wealth he promised to bestow upon them.
But those who understand that socialism, communism and governance by the collective are failed experiments, warned where that money would come from. It would be taken by force from the toils of the middle class, and itd impoverish them in the process.
Now the myrmidons who once vehemently supported the policies of President Barack Obama without question are coming to the realization that when Obama spoke about spreading the wealth he actually meant their wealth too!
Cindy Vinson is one such supporter. This month, like many Americans who have health insurance through their employer or private insurers, Vinson got an unwanted awakening to the reality of government sponsored wealth confiscation and redistribution:
Cindy Vinson and Tom Waschura are big believers in the Affordable Care Act. They vote independent and are proud to say they helped elect and re-elect President Barack Obama.
Yet, like many other Bay Area residents who pay for their own medical insurance, they were floored last week when they opened their bills: Their policies were being replaced with pricier plans that conform to all the requirements of the new health care law.
Vinson, of San Jose, will pay $1,800 more a year for an individual policy, while Waschura, of Portola Valley, will cough up almost $10,000 more for insurance for his family of four.
I was laughing at Boehner until the mail came today, Waschura said, referring to House Speaker John Boehner, who is leading the Republican charge to defund Obamacare.
I really dont like the Republican tactics, but at least now I can understand why they are so pissed about this. When you take $10,000 out of my familys pocket each year, thats otherwise disposable income or retirement savings that will not be going into our local economy.
Both Vinson and Waschura have adjusted gross incomes greater than four times the federal poverty level the cutoff for a tax credit. And while both said they anticipated their rates would go up, they didnt realize they would rise so much.
Of course, I want people to have health care, Vinson said. I just didnt realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally.
Welcome to the way the world REALLY works
I’m completely down with all gov’t being paid for by those who voted for it.
When you call him a POS, you must apologize to excrement after.
Libs generally don’t understand that every dollar of benefits must ultimately be paid for by tax revenue from PRIVATE SECTOR tax payers.
All the more reason to raise the voting age to 21 and require a I.Q. test before you vote, also include in that a class on econmics 101 before voting.
My annual Care costs <<$2500.
I figured that after I saved $2500 with 0DontCare that I'd be $1,000s ahead.
Where's my money? (I already spent my savings - pay up Bammy)

Great thread with students in Colorado blaming Obama & the dems for the shutdown.

Bammy’s been rolled in glitter, many timez.
Subprime mortgage redux:
“You mean I have to pay that money back? I thought they jus’ gave you the house.”
You didn't hear the "Tax Professional" call into Glenn Yesterday did you...
As she noted, the Penalty is not $95, but comes from an elaborate formula, and may cost you thousands if you have a family and your income is like 100k.
The formula is something like your AGI X 1% X the number of exemptions on your return.
No matter how you slice it, they are gonna meet Ben, Ben Dover....
Well, son, you can take comfort from the fact that your betters in Congress and the Unions don't have to put up with that hardship. Feel better?
That mantra should be the democrat/libtard motto.
I didn’t know I was going to be paying for it, personally.
Idiots. We warned you all along. For YEARS we warned you. You just brushed us off.
Yet more proof Democrats are totally retarded. They are reality deniers.
F them all.
No, they are not ignorant, they are STUPID. Ignorance can be cured with knowledge. They don’t have the IQ to understand knowledge.
Females love it when a man abandons his maleness.. FORWARD, LADIES!!!
This has always bothered me, and I have some relatives (OK female ones) who consider themselves SO compasionate! SO on the right side and make it publically known that those who disagree with them (i.e. the ones who ACTUALLY pay the bill) are SO SELFISH! — and consider themselves SO NOBLE to vote for OTHER people to pay the bill. I am compassionate, I donate to charity. But I do NOT seek to use the FORCE OF LAW to make OTHER people foot the bill! Foot the bill yourself and you can claim charity for others (of course, according to Christ’s example, you are supposed to do it without seeking recognition). Using the force of the IRS to force OTHER people to pay for the compassion you take for yourself, as your excuse for voting for taxation on others, to make your own self feel so so good?!? Give me a break! It is time for that rooster to come to roost. YOU yourself (I mean not you the poster but the you-s who are now complaining about the cost to themselves for what they voted for) must compassionately give to others, not use the force of the government for OTHER people to have to pay the bill YOU voted for. Sorry this is so rambling but I think you get it. They want points for compassion, as long as someone ELSE is paying!
