Obama to media: "....And there are a whole bunch of members of Congress right now who privately will tell you, I know our positions are unreasonable, but we're scared that if we don't go along with the tea party agenda, or the -- some particularly extremist agenda, that we'll be challenged from the right. And the threats are very explicit. And so they toe the line. And that's part of why we've seen a breakdown of just normal routine business done here in Washington on behalf of the American people.

And all of you know it. I mean, I'm not telling you anything you don't know because it's very explicit. You report on it. A big chunk of the Republican Party right now is -- are in gerrymandered districts where there's no competition and those folks are much more worried about a tea party challenger than they are about a general election where they've got to complete against a Democrat or go after independent votes. And in that environment, it's a lot harder for them to compromise......." The October 8, 2013 rant

Obama’s sympathy for Republicans facing primaries is just, er, uh, umm, well, not playing well I guess. My message to the white-half of Obama: pound sand liar!

“I’ll talk about ways to improve the health care system. I’ll talk about ways we can shrink our long-term deficits. I’ll also want to talk about how we’re going to help the middle class and strengthen early childhood education and improve our infrastructure and blah blah blah...

Same recycled hot air. Only the saps still believe his tired jive.

“but only after the government is reopened and the nation’s debt ceiling is raised”

translation - give me the means to keep spending as I have been snce 2009, by simply raising the debt limit, again, so again the heat is off to negotiate seriously, and I can delay serious negotiations ocnce again, until I create the next crisis demanding another raise in the debt OR ELSE!!!!!!!

When it comes Obama vs Boehner and the GOP in the Senate, they have become like the South Koreans and the U.S. in “negotiations” with North Korea - played for the rope-a-dope patsies that they are - the winning side (North Korea and Obama) create a crisis (his threats to default, instead of cutting discretionary spending) if he does not get a debt increase), threaten and bluster, and the losing side caves and appeases the victor. For five years now Obama and Reid have held up getting the nations budget business done until time for the next 11th hour crisis point and need for another raise in the debt limit (’cause they just want to keep spending as is (2009 budget and its automatic increases) and a debt limit increase is satisfactory for that objective).

His little rant, chock full of hesitation in his sentences and his blathering on and on, shows us what a sick cookie this cupcake truly is.

The questions fired at him by a sycophantic press were just withering!

He is truly the most dangerous man in America! We can’t blame Hairy and Nutsy as they’re zombies.

Will there even be one "reporter" with the cajones to ask the Carny-val barker at the next press briefing to name one "member of Congress" Obammy was referring to?

Fire all of your unelected CZAR's and then will have something to talk about.

Just the name alone pisses me off.

Ever wonder why Democrats toe the line?/

The Democrats threats against their members are much stronger than any Republican Tea Party threat.

They wouldn’t have to worry bout a TEA Party challenge if there weren’t enough voters that agreed with the TEA Party candidates.

Mr. Obama again called on House Speaker John Boehner to call a vote on a “clean” bill to reopen Washington.
***I agree with zer0bama on this one. The house can pass this “clean” bill very easily:

1) SCOTUS has declared Obamacare a tax.
2) Taxes, by law, need to originate from the House of Reps
3) Obamacare did not.
4) Current Congress proposes to remedy that illegality by originating the proposal today. As originally worded And as originally TITLED. In the House.
5) See if Obamacare passes today.
6) Fund the rest of the guvmint.

Obamacare/shutdown vanity: Why doesn’t the house of reps just follow the law?
