I don’t think you can sue the US government without their consent.

I could be wrong, I think I learned this in college, or maybe I just heard it from a drunk in a tavern.

What great awakening? When has Boehner not been on board with most of 0vomit’s agenda?

I’m not trying to start an argument, just asking the question. I don’t follow the minutiae of politics very closely, but from what I’ve observed, Boehner is either clueless or half in the bag for Zippy. He seems more concerned with being able to sit at the lunch table with the cool kids than with standing up for conservative principles. Or his constituents. Or the USA.

If Obama can get away with this, what's to stop him (and future presidents) from picking apart every new bill that's passed and becomes law. For example, let's say the GOP gains a veto-proof majority in both Houses of Congress next year in the elections and immediately pass and over-ride Obama's veto of a massive tax CUT that's supposed to be implemented February 1, 2015. What's to keep Obama from "delaying" the tax cut for 1, 10, 100 years by directing the IRS to do just that?

Not just the IRS.

zer0care specifically leaves implementation to the Secretary of HHS. She is more vulnerable than zer0 is.

I believe I have read that various programs are prefunded and no longer dependent on congressional authorization. Not sure if this accurate or to what degree.

In defense of the citizenry, the power has been usurped from the people by the continual usage of methods that go around the House in favor the packed Senate and the Executive, which includes the departments run by Cabinet members. In addition, every agency and department appears packed with partisan staffers who know the intricacies of the bureaucracy. These agencies are all armed and have police powers. The judiciary is packed with liberals at all levels and the law allows judge shopping. Not all sheriffs are operating Constitutionally and those that are have been attacked legally via the judiciary.

We have experienced a coup. An armed uprising will be put down and could even be something the Executive would prefer, as it would give them cover for martial law under a National Emergency.

Thanks to everyone who foresaw this sort of situation with the Patriot Act. Their cries of alarm caused many of us to study that Act and helped us to understand how it could be used against us as it is now.

In the more famous Banana Republics, people turn out en masse, banging on pots and pans and otherwise just making a lot of noise in peaceful disobedience. This forces the situation towards executive actions that further alienate and awaken the populace and are themselves potentially violent situations. Often, this leads to a military coup. Our military is being purged of patriots at the top.

There are no good situations, which is why most people favor waiting it out in hope of finally attaining a majority in favor of Constitutional action.

Sometimes fear is justified.
