While the term “genocide” didn’t exist the organized slaughter of people the rulers don’t like goes as far back as we can find. heck there’s two in the Bible.

Such as King Herod trying to kill Jesus by slaughtering a whole bunch of male children 3 and under....(the scattergun approach). Or Pharoah killing the first born of Israel. You mean those two right?

Evil always tries to destroy the good and in the process many are killed. Kulaks in the main were farmers and productive Christians. When they were slaughtered, the agricultural prowess of Russia was destroyed!

Those were military - battles, invasions. Not methodical planning to characterize members of your own nation, people who live on your street, as “subhuman” and plan their extermination.
