WASHINGTON, D.C. - WPSD Local 6 got an inside glimpse Wednesday night to how much the government shutdown is about the messaging for congressional lawmakers.
After finishing an interview with CNN, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul ran into Senator Mitch McConnell, who was waiting for an interview of his own.
In front of a camera, with a microphone on, the two Kentucky leaders talked strategy. Senator Paul began, "Do you have a second?" "I'm all wired up here, um," Senator McConnell replied.
"I just did CNN and I just go over and over again 'We're willing to compromise. 'We're willing to negotiate.' I think... I don't think they poll tested we won't negotiate. I think it's awful for them to say that over and over again," Paul said.
"Yeah, I do too and I, and I just came back from that two hour meeting with them and that, and that was basically the same view privately as it was publically," McConnell agreed.
Paul added, "I think if we keep saying 'We wanted to defund it. We fought for that and that we're willing to compromise on this', I think they can't, we're gonna, I think... well I know we don't want to be here, but we're gonna win this I think."
Paul has said that he doesn't want a government shutdown, but that the U.S. must find ways to reduce debt.
He has frequently flip-flopped as often as every 24 hours but today he flipped back and forth about five times. When a schizophrenic starts cycling that fast you can almost guarantee a full blown psychotic break is at hand. I don’t know how it works for a pathological narcissist which is a nutcake of a different color.
Nice posting history!
The GOP has to know, understand in their gut, if they back down they are done. Pack it in. The Ballot Box is broken, permanently. Time to move on to the next or live on your knees. There is a damn good reason the WWII Memorial resonates so well. They wouldn’t stand for tyranny taking over the globe. Will we?
Most recent poll shows RATS and GOP both being blamed BUT ... GOP is turning the RATS into the party of 'No'; the rats keep shooting down measures to fund certain agencies - the GOP is winning this ...
Thanks!? Obviously you have an issue. What would that be? I am consistent. What specifically did you disagree with in latest post? What so you disagree with in my past? Please have at it.
Yeah I seen that one, 5 points down is not winning. I get your point though. We need a 3 or 4 day sample which is why I think tomorrow and Fridays will carry som weight.
Your posts are concern trolling, defeatest, conventional ‘wisdom’, establishment nonsense. You definitely are consistant though.

But repetitive and... Booooooring.
Personally, I’m enjoying the hell out of this. Barry is getting his ass kicked. And the Rats are coming unglued, gaffing all over the place.
So I have an opinion. Which obviously does not match yours. Ok fine I asked some questions in my post. Please show me where I am wrong, change my mind.
Looking at your thread history, you appear to be one big concern troll. Every post you’ve made is to tell FR how the Republicans are on the losing side of whatever the issue is. Every post, in every thread, on every issue.
Ha, I just looked it up before reading your post and said the same thing.
I hope your right, we will see what the polls say. I happen to disagree with your assessment and even backed mine up by asking which members are defecting.
I think you are one smart cookie.
I agree with what you are saying.
You sound very much like an insider.
I appreciate that, thank you.
That’s wicked.
That would also be really funny
I'm not surprised Paul would endorse his fellow KY Senator. That doesn't mean that that McConnell wouldn't help even a Democrat beat Paul. (Look at the Specter/Santorum thing for an example.)
Let's face it Cruz will endorse Cornyn, even though he is a 1,000,000 times worse than McConnell. Cornyn is the most evil, anti-conservative member of the senate. And you better believe he will do everything possible to make sure Cruz is not reelected. Cruz will still back Cornyn 100%.
Obamacare is not popular, the insurance is awful and the deductibles are unaffordable. It will serve to wipe out employer health care plans which most middle class people still get.
Overall, you overestimate the Democrats strength here. I’m not sure why. Putin and most of the world sized up Obama a long time ago for what he is, weak.
Must be Barry thinks a job is “nonessential” to your son.
