I looked on the net for a Yorkie for sale and saw there was one not far from me. I made arrangements to go see her, this five week old Yorkie, this little puff of a dog. The place was so far out in the woods, I wondered if I should be there by myself. Finally found it and a man came out. I got out and went to the porch. Before he opened the door he asked if I was afraid of dogs. I said not if they are Yorkies.
He opened the door and FORTY-FOUR Yorkies came flying out. They were everywhere and they live INSIDE THAT HOUSE.
I went in and Yorkies were jumping and running and all over me. He went in the kitchen where the wife was and I got on a high stool to get out of the dogs. The wife went in another room and brought out this tiny puppy and handed her to me. She curled up and stuck her head into my bent elbow as if to say, “Get me out of here!”
The woman said she wouldn't sleep with the other 43 dogs - that she would get on a pad close to the fireplace and sleep by herself. I didn't blame her, all those dogs were many times bigger than she was. She had a beautiful face and lots of hair, the requirements I had. I paid them in cash and got Prissy out of there. Got her in the house and put her in a pink doggie bed and she lay down and went to sleep. She seemed to know she was home and out of the mess of dogs.
I hated that house with all those dogs living in it. That was too many Yorkies. They could not have gotten the proper care from the owners.
At least I saved Prissy and she is a precious Yorkie with beautiful hair .
You did save her! Thank goodness!
What a sweet story, dearest, sweet you, Marcella. More proof that God sent you to save your sweet Yorkie, Prissy. I believe in these things and I know you do too. Prissy was meant for you and you for her. I pray and I think, that you two will share several more happy years together. Into the decades!
