Dang, my job’s premium is $240 with kids and wife.

Good luck trying to get 20-somethings on that plan. That’s a freaking car payment.

According to Obama it's lower than a cell phone bill.

that’s double my current premium....and that’s not counting what kind of deductible I’ll have to shell out.

When will the young people figure it out? They voted for Obama, right?

The average senior citizen today will get $325,000 more in benefits from than the government than they put into the system. However, the newborn today will pay in $425,000 more than they receive in benefits. This is from Stan Drukenmiller, the hedge fund manager.

Thank you, young Obama voters, for subsidizing my retirement!

Until August this year when my youngest son turned 26, my premium was $308 every two weeks. The deductible per person, per year is $3500. I never go to the doctor, so I hadn't paid a penny of deductible this year. My wife prodded me to get the followup colonoscopy that was due two years ago. Hers was due too. His and hers colonoscopies. $7000 out of pocket for the part the insurance didn't cover. Mine went bad 10 days later. I have no idea what the emergency hospitalization is going to be yet.

All that goodness is piled on a sequestration forced "vacation" where I burned all of the 509 hours of vacation that has accrued over 21 years with my company. I had to cut the "burn rate" for the vacation to 32 hours/week from mid-July to last Friday to make it last. The contract was awarded last week. I resume working tomorrow morning.

Worse still, could be looked at as a home mortgage payment or rent payment.
