Senate just came into session. Happily, Dingy Harry is sparing us any commentary early on this morning, as is McConnell. Debate goes until 12:10, at which time there is 30 minutes reserved for majority and minority leaders , then the vote. Will there be any more GOP intramural fireworks on the senate floor?

The Pubbie Senators up for reelection in 2016 and 2018 seem to think they are safe. The damage done by this legislation will grow exponentially through several election cycles. They are sadly mistaken if they believe Republicans will have forgotten by then.

My son is a director of documentary films. He has done that for over 20 years and has a reputation for his fine films. One company he does films for, has a real deal for people. You can have dinner with him for $15,000. If you live in England, it’s $20,000.

Or, if he is at my house, eat with him for free. When this company did this, I thought maybe I can rent out his bedroom in my house, for gobs of money for one night.

If this is the case, the caucus needs to call for a vote of no confidence in the leadership and remove them from their positions no sooner than the cloture vote is done.

I don’t know - I turned the channel because Thune had indicated he was voting yes on cloture, previously.

If he’s voting no, that would be a change.

You have to be certain he is voting no on cloture. If he votes yes on cloture but no on the bill, he’s a fraud.

Cloture allows Reid to pass the amended bill with only 51 votes, whereas if all Repubs voted no on cloture, debate would continue, and Reid would be on notice he needs 60 voted, not 51.
