Their judgment has been so wrong about running Dole, McCain, Romney
I think it is probably wise to do the opposite of whatever they want
The GOP are a bunch of statists and only want to control everyone like the Dems do.
They are not conservatives who want to preserve individual freedom of choice.
The GOP brain trust have a terrible track record starting with Rove who claimed a blowout win by Romney. They just don’t get it why Cruz is doing more for the GOP than all of their PACs combined.
