My knowledge of her philosophy is fragmentary, at best

Rand was an atheist and had many foes. Her flaws were many.

Still, she has so much to offer in the way of defending Liberty Capitalism and the individual.

Rand valued above all the individual. She knew the pure evil of collectivism.

As a teenager she escaped the Communist revolution in Russia. Her life is an interesting read.

Atlas Shrugged was a masterpiece. Fountainhead was another insightful book. It was an easier read.

I think the reason I never delved into Rand very deeply is that I perceive her as a materialist. I find a dearth of spirituality in what I have seen of her thought. But, as I said, my actual knowledge is fragmentary.
