Should have a money bomb so it comes out in the news that McConnell’s primary opponent received LOTS of money when it became known that McConnell was going to vote for cloture, allowing a simple majority in the Senate to undo the House’s ONE Constitutional check and balance to the Senate and executive branch.
I need to understand the process a little bit better though. If the Senate amends this continuing resolution so that it funds Obamacare, does it have to be sent back to the House for them to sign off on it, or can the Senate really gut the House’s funding measures and replace it with their own stuff totally outside the reach of the House? If that is possible, I don’t see that the House has ANY check and balance role whatsoever.
