Kevmo: "Argument from silence.
Classic fallacy.
About what I’d expect from a troll, and now I expect it from heretics like you."

And here Kevmo presents us with false accusations based on, literally, nothing.

Kevmo: "***The CLAIM of divinity WAS being debated, but you poisoned the well with your heresy."

FRiend, there was never a "debate" because there was never opposition to the Bible's reports of Jesus' divinity.
So your claims of "heresy" are bases on literally nothing, except your own insanity.

Kevmo on whether Jesus said he is God: "***Sure He does.
You just don’t like it, so you come up with heretical arguments to dismiss it."

Then, Kevmo, you should be able to easily quote where Jesus says, explicitly, "I am God".

Kevmo: "***Here you are flat wrong, and so flatly wrong that your responses qualify as heresy."

Then produce the quotes, FRiend.

Kevmo: "Jesus wasn’t fair when He confronted false teachers of His day, and neither do I have to be, heretic."

And yet, at no time have I contradicted anything the Bible says explicitly about Jesus.

Kevmo: "***You have been defending heresy, regardless of who in the past held such views.
You’re a heretic."

I am most interested to learn Kevmo's utter lack of respect for our Founders' religious views.
And what else about our Founders do you loathe?
How do you feel about their Constitution, and its First Amendment?

Kevmo: "Your denial of the divinity of Christ is a simple, straightforward heresy."

But I have made no such denials, you've produced not quotes "proving" I did.
So your accusations are utterly false.
That's what makes Kevmo utterly insane.

Kevmo: "***Yes, heretical interpretations of the plain language.
You keep twisting scripture, heretic."

In fact, I've "twisted" nothing.
I take the text to say what it means, and mean what it says.
I grant that Kevmo's interpretations (as near as I can tell?) are traditional and orthodox.
Mine are closer to those of our Founding Fathers, and that's the reason I'm here defending them.

Kevmo: "***You’re an idiot.
Just a couple of posts ago you said that all of the bible is religion.
Now you’re backtracking, yet again.
I don’t really care because at the end of the story you’ll be pushing a heresy."

Obviously at least one of us is and idiot, or worse.
I'd say it's the fellow who refuses to understand the simple fact that: the Bible is 100% religious, some portions of which can be verified through strict historical or archaeological analysis.

It is the nature of religion not to require such verifications, but they are still nice to see, whenever they happen.

Kevmo: "***Heretic, go back to such recent year threads and accuse them of “murderous” language.
You accused ME of using Murderous langauge TODAY, you heretic."

Historically the accusation of "heresy" was a threat to murder someone, just as was the accusation of "blasphemy" against Jesus.

Today that murderous language is still embedded in Kevmo's own accusations (i.e., post #1,983) of: "God Damned Heretic."

FRiend Kevmo, I'm sorry to say this, but the wickedness of your own heart is beyond description and belief.
You seriously need professional help.
Please get it.

Kevmo: "***And heresy seems to be allowed on these threads and I’m calling your BS HERE.
You just don’t like that someone found out that your bowlsheet actually qualifies as a sever heresy."

In fact, you've produced no quotes from me to support your accusations.
They are utterly false.

YHAOS to tacticalogic: "Our Friend BroJoeK has quoted the First Amendment (“Congress shall make no law”) in his attack on Kevmo and spirited for their comments regarding heresy.
Do you wish to join him in his attack?

FRiend, YHAOS, the accusation of "heresy" was historically a threat to murder someone -- as was "blasphemy" in Jesus' time.

Today, such accusations are still as murderous in spiritual intent, a fact easily seen in Kevmo's post #1,983 where he refers to yours truly, BroJoeK as a "God Damned Heretic."

The wickedness of such claims are multiplied when based on nothing, and therefore utterly false.

Kevmo is your FRiend, YHAOS.
His is obviously a sick mind.
Will nobody reign him in?

Looking for facts! Shame on you BroJoeK - you aren’t giving The Mighty Kevmo benefit of a doubt. Perhaps his Bible had the page with ‘Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor’ torn out and he simply doesn’t know any better.

Will nobody reign him in?

You attack someone for what you claim is their desire to “reign in” (forcefully suppress) an opposing view, then express distress that no one will “reign in” your antagonist, and apparently fail to see the incongruity of your conflicting desires, and the sickness in your own mind.

Perhaps you should appeal to the Regime. They appear to be about ready to “reign in” the whole of the Judeo-Christian Tradition to brink of its virtual destruction.

You quote “From Joseph Story's Commentaries on the Constitution re: Article VI:”

Impressive. I’ve a fifty-year acquaintance with Joe (believed by many to be one of the sharpest legal minds ever developed by this nation, and to have been a far better choice for Chief Justice than John Marshall, had not fate taken a different turn).

I fail to see how your extensive quotation from Commentaries on the Constitution has any relevance to the issues I’ve raised (save as supportive).

Are Kevmo and spirited Congress? Do you think that Kevmo and spirited should have something greater than their opinion behind the ideas they express?

Or, contrarily, do you believe Kevmo’s and spirited’s ideas so repugnant that you believe the Regime’s power should be used (presumably at your direction) to suppress them? Is it your opinion that some opinions are simply intolerable, and that your vote should be the deciding opinion decreeing which are?

Are Kevmo’s and spirited’s opinions more outside the boundary of Society than Phil Robertson’s? NAMBLA? The GLBT?

From your quotation of Joseph Story's Commentaries on the Constitution re: Article VI: “They knew, that bigotry was unceasingly vigilant in its stratagems, to secure to itself an exclusive ascendancy over the human mind; and that intolerance was ever ready to arm itself with all the terrors of the civil power to exterminate those, who doubted its dogmas, or resisted its infallibility.”

Does not Joe’s observation more closely approximate a description of Liberals, Planned Parenthood, or either of the Regime’s two political parties than anything else?

Their difference of opinion is personal and theological. Story's writing demonstrates that the Founders considered such differences to be avoided in matters of politics and public policy.

The News and Activism forum is where issues of public policy and political activism are discussed. The Religion forum is explicitly for theological/religious issues. It also has different "rules of engagement" because it's been recognized and acknowleged that those discussions can quickly become emotional and personal and need to be kept in check.

I questioned why the article was posted in News and Activism, implicitly placing it in a political context, instead of Religion where it obviously belongs. I have not been the only person to ask that question and it has not been answered, but attacked as if it is not a fair question.

“The News and Activism forum is where issues of public policy and political activism are discussed. The Religion forum is explicitly for theological/religious issues...”

Spirited: Darwinism is not the only mesmerizing myth holding the minds of its enthralled believers captive. Another myth holds that politics are completely separate from morality and religion.

From the ancient Sumerians (Babylonians) to our own age, the foundations of all societies are religion/morality, and politics.

Religion and morality are the two most important foundations. They address the questions: Where did everything come from? What is man and what is his purpose for being here? Is there life after death? What is evil and why does it exist?

As human beings are social creatures who live best within society, politics addresses the MORAL question stated thusly: How ought men live within society?

The Founders of our Constitutional Republic received our civilizations most important foundations from previous generations. These were the Christians who came to these shores to escape persecution.

With this in mind, the essay that you and like-minded posters love to hate is entirely appropriate to the politics section of Free Republic.

Are you claiming Joseph Story's account of Founders reasoning behind Article VI is a fabrication?

Some simple words of reason amidst all of Kevmo's howling insanity would be plenty sufficient, FRiend YHAOS.
What, is YHAOS afraid to stand up to Kevmo?
Are you scared that Kevmo will spray his sulfurous stench over you too?
Don't want to get dirtied yourself?

No guts, no glory...

4 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.”

This passage in Daniel says nothing — zero, zip, nada — about Jesus being equal to God.
***The passage in Daniel says directly that “ peoples of every language worshiped him.” Your grasp of a simple passage from the old testament is obviously loosened by your idealogy and causes you to push a heresy. That means you are a simple heretic.
