“It doesnt matter to the RATs, they got what they wanted. Trump up some charges and eliminate a political opponent. If years down the road the conviction gets over turned, their vicitm is no longer a threat.”

Just like the “environmentalists,” huh! Litigate, litigate, litigate, until your opponent either runs out of money, the issue ceases to have any meaning, or he just gives up! That goes for the EPA (and their Commie buddies, the Army Corps of Engineers) in spades.

“Repubs can truly be the Lion in “The Wizard of Oz”. They need “courage”.”

Courage comes from conviction. I dont hink they have enough conviction in their beliefs to forcibly push them. The left has complete conviction and is willing to do ANYTHING to advance their beliefs.

Earle wanted to run for TX AG! Can you imagine? He should be buried under the jailhouse.

Does this mean the “culture of corruption” that so troubled Nanacy Pelosi back in 2006 has gone away at last?

Seems like the Democrats have taken over the franchise on “culture of corruption”.

Only they actually do engage in corruption.

Your sainted Tom DeLay is the one who refused to allow budget cuts. He insisted there was no fat to be trimmed from Bush era budgets.

I see that it was a 2 to 1 decision of the Third Court of Appeals, with Chief Justice Jones dissenting. Is that the end of the matter, or does the State of Texas have a right to appeal to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals (the highest Texas court for criminal matters)?

Yes they did this is first or last time they do it. GOP needs to get backbone and fight back just like they do. Fight fire with fire.

"Try Round Rock, TX. A bit north in Williamson County. Nice area. My parents retired there."

--------------------------------------->

Yes, on Rounds Rock.

And, if golf is your game and you like outdoors, look around SE of Austin.

The town Spicewood is on Pedernales River and that is nice. It can get snowy in the winter so roads can be hard traveling. If you can afford to hunker down until snow melts, its pretty. But, if you need to travel in snow - know that most Texans don't have a clue of how to drive in the snow. I count myself as not knowing how to navigate snow/driving!

Same goes for high water. It will flood in lower lying areas - so hunker down if you can or pick an elevation that is kind of high and not too close to the river.

Hope I'm not scaring you off - just a couple of tips to think about..

Even with snow and low-lying floods, I'd move back in a second if I could!

But Mr. h has his job and we aren't independently wealthy! I'm looking to retire there and growing our own vegetables and fruits!

Yum...

We need to set aside a place — call it Nifong Island — for prosecutors who abuse their offices for political reasons. And then send scumbags like this guy there to live out their lives tyrannizing each other.

Exactly. Charges were bogus from the start. But rats always seem to be able to fight dirty and get by with it.

Being human, the dude may not have been perfect (bad in the spending department, but compared to everyone after him it was downright frugal), but he was prosecuted because he was so effective keeping the left where they belonged as a conservative.

DeLay, The Hammer. He was the one able to rope all the jellyspines into straight lines.

Would definitely be useful today.

All that waste of time and recourses not to mention what it did to Tom Delays life

Politics is really a blood sport as practiced by the left

The pressure came from Pam Blondie, I mean Bondi. Angela Corey was Bondi’s friend and she desperately wanted Corey on the Zimmerman case. Anyone who thinks that air headed, gay agenda loving, blonde Bondi is worth anything is as wrong as she is.
