On Monday, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) urged House Republicans to not shut down the federal government.

“I hope my colleagues in the House who believe we need to shut down the government will understand that that’s not want the American people want,” McCain said on CNN. “They hate government, but they don’t want it to stop functioning.”

Seems you can always tell where the correct side is on every issue just by checking what position Judas McCain is against.

The government has stopped functioning a long time ago when the national debt was no where near where it is today. And we have people like McCain to thank for it.

This guy pushes support for Syrian rebels when the American people want nothing of the sort! Excuse me if I don’t believe the rantings of a dottering old “ass-talker.”

The GOP has lead with their fear. "Oh, my God, we're going to be blamed for the government shutddown. We will do anything to avoid that."

The GOP has just turned itself into a hostage of the Democrat Party. All the Democrats have to do is threaten a shutdown and they get everything they want.

This is as stupid as it gets. This guarantees defeat. And they ask me for my vote, otherwise the Democrats will win. In reality, the Democrats win whether or not I vote. Voting GOP guarantees Democrat victory.

The GOP ought to realize the question in millions of minds, is "what's the point of voting GOP?" It serves no purpose. The GOP serves no purpose. The GOP is dead, worthless, a carcass.

He's a poor caricature of Dean Wormer.

+1, Jabba. Any thinking politico knows that mid-term elections are all about getting the base out. Low information/low interest voters don’t waste their time going to the polls...they vote in Presidential elections.

Some British wit described a person as "Having the imprint of the last person who sat on him."

McCain does it, Dubya did it, they use the liberal attack lines on conservatives. McCain is using Obama's lie, that Republicans WANT TO SHUT DOWN GOVERNMENT. That is a flat out lie. McCain picks up and uses that lie. McCain is a disgusting human being.

This is a tip off for identifying a RINO. No real conservative would do this.
