Three shooters are involved in the Navy Yard shooting, a police spokeswoman said.

One of the shooters is “down,” police said, but two remain in a building on the grounds.

One of the shooters at large is dressed in fatigues. At least one has a long gun, police said.

There must be dozens of cameras in a facility like that. It shouldn’t take too long to confirm if there’s more than one shooter. The fact that there have been no more reports of shooting since the known shooter was taken out seems to support a lone gunman conclusion.

Rick Mason, who’s a civilian working for the U.S. Navy, says a gunman was shooting from a fourth-floor overlook in the hallway outside his office, aiming down at people in the building’s cafeteria. He says he could hear the shots, but couldn’t see the gunman.

He couldn't see the gunman, but tells us where he was and what he was doing?

Speaking to the BBC, Commander Tim Juris said he was was on the fourth floor of the building when he heard shots.

"It sounded like a tap gun as opposed to a real gun," he said.

Also, attacks like this are very common in Iraq and Afghanistan..they get onto an army base,become familiar with the surroundings, and start shooting..this is what they do, so I have no doubt this was terrorism..probably a black dude who recently converted to Islam, must have listened to Zawahiri talking about being a “lone wolf” and let loose..of course Obama will never ever say that ANOTHER terrorist attack happened on his watch, he will blame the gun, and the media who are all in his pocket will all blame the gun

Something odd is going on...

Some organization has pulled down the readtnavy.gov website that has the training information for Navy personnel on what to do in an emergency.

It was linked to the original washington post article, but if you follow it, it says internal server error, meaning the page doesn’t exist.

It has also been pulled from archive.org which has been crawling the site since 2012.

September was to be emergency preparedness month for the Navy and readynavy.gov was the source of the training
