Three shooters are involved in the Navy Yard shooting, a police spokeswoman said.
One of the shooters is down, police said, but two remain in a building on the grounds.
One of the shooters at large is dressed in fatigues. At least one has a long gun, police said.

White House statement on Navy Yard shooting
The White House issued a statement on the Navy Yard shooting Monday morning:
The President has been briefed several times about the unfolding situation at the Washington Navy Yard by Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Lisa Monaco and Deputy Chief of Staff Alyssa Mastromanaco....

I reported what the CHIEF OF POLICE said about two shooters on the loose.
Appears he's as hysterical or clueless as the media..No? He's employed by government...No?
It also appears my comment regarding one shooter and possibly former pissed off employee, based on what I was hearing/reading, appears possibly more accurate than what this Chief said...You know, the guy who's running this show...gak
I give this a 8 on the honking hoot scale.
If the shooter just wanted rack to up a large kill number he cold have staked out any number of areas in D.C. where people gather, maybe a staging area waiting to board mass transit. Yet he chose his former workplace, or at least a former employer. I still haven’t heard whether he was fired or not, that would help. But this suggests a revenge killing spree to me.
Probably no specific connection to 4th floor. Just a convenient place to shoot from. From WaPo:" Rick Mason, a program management analyst who is a civilian with the U.S. Navy, told the Associated Press that a gunman was shooting from a fourth floor overlook in the hallway outside his office. He said the gunman was aiming at people in the buildings first floor cafeteria."
I’d like to know how he kept his security-sensitive job at a naval air station with TWO arrests on his record. There are reports he was arrested in Seattle on a malicious mischief charge as well as the gun discharge in Ft Worth in 2010.
Things are not adding up here.
you are an idiot
Yep...the outcome with this will certainly be twisted ...we’ll never know the true story IMO. But already people are tweeting and facebooking about gun laws.....
How about they be as outspoken about giving these thugs the death penalty.... They murder they die..simple.
Liberals are such boneheads!
Those are automatic “I was there” awards.
Um, no, not all conspiracies. He hasn’t mentioned chemtrails the HAARP array or GMO’s. ;)
What he HAS been noticing, is the same thing many others are seeing as well: there’s an undeclared race war going on.
smells like trophy huntin to me
Perhaps. Hopefully we will be able to piece it all together eventually. After Fort Hood and all the other Islamist terror shootings at military installations and recruiting centers, I am inclined to believe that Islam was the motivating factor here.
Perhaps, but how did he remain in a sensitive job with the Navy with two arrests on his record?
LOL!
If it is true that only three are injured and 12 are dead, isn’t that an incredible kill rate?
Perhaps; but he could have easily killed more people huddled together with far less resistance. More trophies- unless he wanted Navy trophies- or some govt-defense related victims.
...”this suggests a revenge killing spree to me”....
Well we know it will be presented as that...thus all the chatter about getting gun laws established.
Gets me angry that it’s always about the weapons and not the individual using them.....we live in a matrix world anymore!
Sounds like he’s been disappeared. Where have we seen that?
13 dead and countless injured. Black guy shooter Aaron Alexis dead. Ties to Fort Worth, Texas and Brooklyn, New York City. He was a contractor and a former full time reservist. Police are unsure if there was a second or third shooter. The school lock downs were lifted.
And this is what it seems to be boiling down to..Regardless if this don't sit well with people.
Actually I heard the mayor say there were something like 20 injured..but there was no follow up to that.
It’s bad, but imagine a busy Union station or a museum or any number of crowded places with fewer armed targets, initially at any rate.
