A bill that would allow non-physicians to perform abortions in the first trimester of pregnancy is awaiting signature by Gov. Jerry Brown of California by Sep. 30. The bill, AB 154, passed both houses of the state legislature with strong support from Planned Parenthood and pro-choice groups. Planned Parenthood stands to benefit most directly from the bill, as non-physician staff at its clinics would be able to obtain abortion licenses.

Yes, we must widen and make more possible this slaughter of the innocents. We live in a state which can’t find its way to execute people guilty of heinous crimes but plunges forward to make innocent children suffer and die for the convenience of others.

Heck, “legalize” non-traditional healthcare settings. And “legalize” non-traditional medical instruments.

Conservative groups should sue. If liberal pro-abortion activists can sue to stop red states from passing pro-life laws, then turnabout is fair play.

(Yeah, I know some liberal kook CA judge will pull something from his rear and strike it down, but one can dream).

Good! Now, physicians can return to the business of saving lives, not taking them.

What a nutjob state, and they continue to elect these freaks.

Well, you know what the response should be. Lets ram more abortion legislation through in red states. Hit the phones, Freepers.

To stop illegal back alley abortions, California has legalized them.

Now the mothers will be aborted at the same time. Might actually end up reducing abortions in the long run.

For years lib women lamented the fact that they had to have abortions in back alleys performed by non-medical people with rusty coathangers.

I guess some are pining to go back to those golden years.

As Governor, Ronald Reagan signed a bill liberalizing abortion. He said later that he deeply regretted his decision.
