My Daughter came home from School today. She is in 10th Grade. Her World History Teacher was overheard talking to another Faculty Member and the Students overheard bits and pieces. So they hounded the Teacher for info. So the Teacher informed the Class that there was gonna be a 3 day kit passed around for all the Students. They may be needed for the dates of Sept 28 to Oct 8....The Class was told to be prepared for Power outages. Teacher also informed Class that Russian Troops were Training on our Soil. The Class went nuts and asked tons of questions but the Teacher said that was all she had to say.

I don’t know anything about the “3-day” kit, but I can verify that there are foreign military vehicles being transported in the Savannah area - On two different occasions in the past week or so, I saw vehicles that I described as “Russian HMMWV’s” being carried on flat-bed tractor trailers. What really caught my attention was the cyrillic markings on the side doors.

Savannah area is close to Ft Stewart. It used to be the Army National Guard training base for 278th ACR among others. I have no idea about what it's used for now or even if it's still open. It is a large base though. Large enough for Artillery training.

Thanks for the link. I spent a couple weeks in the Duce and Half Motel there in 1984 while in the guards. I remember it being a very large base. That fall we flew up to Ft Pickett Va and had to shoot from corner to corner from what I remember.
