Possible 2016 Republican contender Jeb Bush is presenting Hillary Clinton, the presumptive front runner for the 2016 Democratic nomination, with an award Tuesday, Sept. 10 in Philadelphia and it has one conservative group criticizing the ceremony.
Bush, the chairman of the National Constitution Center, is presenting Clinton with the organizations 2013 Liberty Medal.
Former Secretary Clinton has dedicated her life to serving and engaging people across the world in democracy, Bush said in a statement released earlier this summer. These efforts as a citizen, an activist, and a leader have earned Secretary Clinton this years Liberty Medal.
The Independence Hall Tea Party Association sent out an email about the ceremony on Monday, calling it extremely distressing. A newly formed group, the Independence Hall Foundation, will hold a press conference on the day Clinton is receiving the medal denouncing her selection and offering an alternative award. Don Adams, an organizer of the Independence Hall Foundation, said in an email to POLITICO that the groups mission is to seek to promote the ideals of the United States as embodied in its founding documentsthe Declaration of Independence, the U. S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. We recognize and honor Independence Hall as the physical and symbolic foundation of the American nation.
Adams said the timing of the Liberty Medal presentation, on the eve of the anniversary of the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, couldnt be worse.
To give her a liberty medal on the eve of the Benghazi attack is an affront to the victims, its an affront to the American people. Frankly, its a sheer disgrace, Adams told POLITICO.
Adams also said it was a bit unseemly that Bush will be the one to present the medal to Clinton.
Former recipients of the Liberty Medal include former Presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush in 2006, former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in 2008 and former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates in 2011, according to a release from the National Constitution Center.

The GOP will be lining up to support Hilldabeast in ‘16, concluding that their best RINO nominee can’t possibly be quite so wonderful as she.
The Bushes and Clintons - separated at birth.
Just another politician to add to the list of those whose smarmy voices I cannot stand to listen to.
Among the GOP-e they were not alone in this endeavor, but they were front and center in pushing(not leading of course)an entire movement over a cliff...
Mama Bush...
"President Clinton and George share the stage so much, he's like a son to me..."
"she(Sarah Palin)seems very happy in Alaska, I hope she'll stay there..."
Must put an end(once and for all)to America's own(global elite)oligarchy stooges...
No more Bush/Clinton....period!
Democrats and republicans should be required to wear uniforms so we can tell them apart. They all suck!
Really? her whole life? What did she do before hitching her wagon to BJ?
Get lots of pictures for the ads in the next primary season.
They have been screwing things up for over 80 years.
They’re all the same. They all must go.
Jebbie should endorse her and announce that he will switch parties if he can be her “running mate”. That will make both parties delirious.
You sir, are correct.
Prescott’s father was rich and influential too.
Barbara Bush is a direct decedent of Franklin Pierce. They are probably the most blue blooded patricians in the country.
And they pass themselves off as good ‘ol Texas boys.
A blood-line history of empire/destruction...it all makes sense.
Cue the participants.
This is Kabuki theater for the masses.
Jebbie gets his dibs on the VP spot in twenny-sixteen.

Is there some kind of cutout bin for past date politicians that I don’t know about?
