This culture is saturated in legal drugs. Making a few illegal hasn’t served any purpose other than to escalate the level of violence in the society and shred protection of inalienable rights.

The great majority of libertarian Republicans are also very conservative. What makes us distinct is that we strive for the long view, and in doing so we understand that anything but the most restrained and modest government will inevitably grow to become the greatest threat to the security of the people, as is the case today. The other distinct feature of libertarians is that we know what is rightfully our business and keep our noses out of what isn’t.

So one form of the state controlling the individual through negative sanctions is fine, but the other is bad. Or, two wrongs make a right. Gotcha.
There’s an apparent catch-22 in third party efforts. You need a large enough mass of voters to overcome the rigged game when it comes to ballot access. But you need ballot access to attract a large enough mass of voters.
We’ve solved that riddle.

LOL. You can’t be serious. The beltway GOP and the mega donors are not social conservatives. They have no interest in gay marriage and just want the issue to go away.

It does come down to two type of people. People that want government controlling the people and those who detest control by government.
The Republicans haven’t rolled anything back since Regan.
The Democrats tighten the noose, the Republicans hold it in place. The Democrats tighten the noose, the Republicans hold it in place. So on and so on, back and forth.
Every time I see a Libertarian post, they talk about pot.

The Hildabeast will win if she runs because 1)she can give out more handouts than any opposition 2) the low info voter will be swayed by the media 3)via the establishment elites they will determine the pubbie nominee 4) if all else fails you have the voter fraud that it rampant & the pubbies could care less. Unless the (R)s put up a true conservative I won't waist my time to give them any legitimacy.
Government doesn’t necessarily refer to the federal government.
City, county and states should be 90% of the government we deal with and get 70 - 80% of all tax revenues collected.

Does supporting traditional conservative economics and foreign policy makes one libertarian? The self-procalimed libertarians that post here seems to think so. But as conservatives point out to them time and time again, the other 1/2 of libertarian ideology (+ the party) embraces some of the most un-conservitive destructive social policies that conservastives believe it is possible to take. Abortion alone makes libertarian ideology anethma to conservatives. Every time a conservative calls this out, libertarians on this site either pretend that the social stuff is invisible (downplay it), scold conservatives that they really don’t understand libertarian ideology, or become “cafeteria Catholics” and tell us how we must pick and choose our issues - thus letting yourself off the ideological hook for the social stuff.
You guys get to call yourself whatever you want, right, but are you really even “libertarian”?

If you're going to invoke the name of Reagan its important to remember that no matter who was with him or against him, no matter if he lost a primary or faced opposition HE WAS NEVER A COWARD WHO LEFT OR DENOUNCED HIS PARTY! He only worked to make it stronger.
My mistake. I read “national defense” and proceeded from assumption.
The Left always uses these social issues to paint the Republicans as haters and intolerant while they convince younger voters it's about "fairness".
Why don't you give us your brilliant ideas on how to fight against the entire popular culture, Democrat media machine and liars. This should be good.
