It could be a dangerous thing as well. It all depends on who the delegates are and what’s their agenda. There is no guarantee that the convention would turn out like its purveyors would like..........
I'm sure Mark explains this in his book (I have the book, I just need to read the book...to see what's in the book), or has on his show.
If anyone has more info about this, I'd love to know. Thanks.
Whatever the convention came up with would have to be approved by 3/4ths of the 50 states, so what is your concern?
We ain't got crap going for us as it is, can you think of another option to peaceably take back control of our government again?
To be honest, I don't think we even have time for this option, as fast as we are being sold out on a daily basis.
So-called idea of liberal runaway convention is nothing but a scare tactic.
No danger of a runaway convention:
2/3s to pass an amendment
3/4s to ratify
However, through the eyes of a liberal, there is a danger of a runaway convention by conservatives. I’m fine with that.
During the Obama Administration? I think we’ve been down this road before during Weimar.
Agreed. I would like to see more DemocRAT graft and corruption come to light and snowball before recommending this option. Still it may be wise to prepare for that possibility.
This could easily end the last remnant of the Republic.
Asking for a constitutional convention is like asking a pharmacist to open up the drug store and let you take some of every medicine he has because the prescription from your doctor, WHICH YOU NEVER BOTHERED TO TAKE, did not help your condition.
Why on Earth would anyone ever imagine that rewriting the costitution will solve the problem of an electorate which should not be allowed near a ballot and a government which does not even make a pretense of following the constitution we have? The constitution is not the problem, the FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION is the problem. That and the fact that only a tiny percentage of those who vote can quote anything from the constitution correctly. When voters have no idea what is even in the existing constitution and disagree with it when it is quoted to them it is insanity to suggest that rewriting it will help anything.
In short if Tom Coburn wants a constitutional convention he is out of his mind.
