Syrian activists close to the countrys opposition claimed hundreds of people were killed in a poison gas attack by regime forces outside Damascus Wednesday.
There were several differing reports on a death toll. Activists told Al-Arabiya that 635 people were killed in the attack in Eastern Ghouta, while Reuters reported that 213 died.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights put the toll at dozens, while the Local Coordination Committees said hundreds were killed.

Yeah, sure the regime did this. I don’t believe that for a second.
If we cannot trust our new allies al Quada, who can we trust.
We’ve got too many people in power that want us involved over there. I don’t trust them.
Wasn’t Syria the country where Sadam Hussein ditched his WMD in the run up to the war in Iraq? The left whined for years that there was never any WMD and that Bush lied?
I won’t hold my breath waiting for the MSM to admit they got it wrong.
There were several differing reports on a death toll.
If it's Islamic, there will necessarily be "differing reports," "varying accounts," "alternate versions," et cetera ad infinitum: followers of the prohpet are shameless congenital liarsnot to mention cold-blooded rapists, torturers, and murderers.
WMD in Syria have emerged from their hiding place
UN’s Bank E-Moon: Dis is terrible, I condemn it.
Europe: Aghast, terrible, it must stop.
Pres. Obama: We are approaching a red line, I will be golfing this weekend so don't bother me.
Putin: Need more gas canisters comrades?
Arab nations: This must stop, pass the Hookah.
Turkey: Israel is behind this.
Palestinians: Israel is occupying Damascus.
I wouldn’t put it past the opposition to stage an atrocity and blame the other side. I wouldn’t put it past either side, actually.
Do not believe the assad regime did this. The only times gas has been used against anyone, it’s been the ‘freedom fighters’ and they are losing ground right now. Just like last time.
I care... /S

That’s perfect.
I don't generally go for the Revelations doctrine, but I respect it enough to watch it.
There's a section of Revelations the clearly states that one of the signposts of Armageddon is that Damascus will be made into a place that is unlivable and wouldn't want to be lived in by anybody.
That's been my next tripwire that I've been watching for for about 2 years to happen in determining the truth/falsity of Biblical Prophecy.
This may not be unlivable, but just the fact that Damascus has been hit with something that COULD make it unlivable scares the water outta me. The Bible could have mentioned any city in the world or the Middle East but it very specifically said Damascus.
Watching.
Exactly.
A ruinous heap, habitation of every foul creature, never to be home to men again. It will be laid low, not one stone left upon another, from out of the dust of destruction they will mumble.
Its like a self cleaning oven over there.
Isn’t this just in time for the special “investigation” by international “observors” to determine if the military in power is using chemicals againstall “those peaceful protestors”?
HeartlandOfAmerica,
You tagline tells me that we are kindred spirits.
I have been watching prophetic events for more than twenty years.
Here is a link to the most recent prophecy timeline spreadsheet I have posted. It is a few months old.

I will not be posting an update to this spreadsheet until September 4 or shortly thereafter. However, if you contact me with an email address, I will send you the version that I am working on now.
The Muslims extremists are well know for killing off their own or others if they think there is gain in doing so.
...yeah, that about sums it up.
...sums up the apathy.
As I always say:
Period of Middle East “War” = Israel defending itself against Arab war of annihilation.
Period of Middle East “Peace” = Arab wars annihilating other Arabs.
My first thought, too.
