Tell me about it. I have adopted from birth black children who when they were young were invited to every leftist’s child birthday party in the state. sigh.

I once had a black friend that grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. He always told me that they called him an Oreo because he was just a regular guy. He didn't 'go there' with his race or see himself as a victim.

This is not to say he didn't want to teach me how to dance properly--haha. But it was all in fun like I used to bust on him about other stuff about being a guy (and I a girl). He had no 'authority on the black man as he didn't see himself as some victimized species." In fact if there was victimization he talked about, it was coming from other blacks.

Also when I worked in Seattle, one of my black supervisors told me when she first moved there from DC she was offended at how black folks talked to white folks and got along with each other. She said in DC it is very segregated (I took this to mean this came from both sides.) My comment to her was "that is very sad. I am glad you got over it."
