As I travel the country, many people tell me they wish they had been on the jury in the criminal trial of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. I tell them that although they did not have a vote in those proceedings, they do have a vote in establishing Trayvons legacy.
This vote, your vote, will be historic. It starts when you sign the Change.org petition by Trayvons family to amend stand-your-ground laws in 21 of the 31 states where they are on the books. It continues when you cast your vote in the 2014 midterm elections and each election cycle beyond until we make history by passing a Trayvon Martin amendment to the stand-your-ground laws in every state that has them. These actions will make you part of new voting bloc: The Trayvon Martin voter.

Throughout history, positive change has come from tragedy. Society has learned that with time and through action, protests and national movements, change is possible. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 began in large part because of the brutal murder of another unarmed black teenager, Emmett Till, in Money, Miss., in 1955. It took nearly a decade before this tragedy resulted in the passage of the historic civil rights legislation. Emmetts mother, Mamie Till Mobley, eventually got to see something positive emerge from something very painful: an acknowledgment that her sons death was not in vain.
The 1963 murder of Medgar Evers, another unarmed African American, led to positive change. During his life as an activist, Evers organized voter registration campaigns, demonstrations and boycotts to end Jim Crow laws in Jackson, Miss. His death was an influence for the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

Someone tell me why I am not supposed to be racist? Please. I need real reasons why I shouldn't start to judge people be their race.
Are we clear on that?

Sorry Fruits son was a POS raised by a POS and got what he deserved.
Sorry. I’m not going to surrender the right to defend myself and my family for Martin and/or this retard. I’ll “stand up” for myself and my family, thank you.
Stand up for George Zimmerman.
Because it’s wrong.

(yet another black guy, just coincidentally siding with every other racist black guy)
Historic, my WHITE ass!
So sick of Trayvon crap and honestly could care less about him just one less puke on the street.
screw off, read the case and find out what you are talking about before you speak
ALL of this translants as follows:
Cump “because of stand your ground my law firm can not sue innocent people in civil court. I want money from civil suits after not guilty verdicts.”
Crump is an ambulance chaser
stand your ground in tort reform
ambulance chasers hate tort reform
crump hates stand your ground.
where is the bar investigation of his lies and misconduct in this fiasco?
Of course most black murders are black on black with the no snitch rule...
Did Ben write this in cursive?
If the state of Florida did not have a corrupt AG Corey, this worthless POS Crump would be disbarred and in prison....
...and not pimping some thug legacy....
Hey Ben, is there a trashcan that we can throw something into???
“As I travel the country, many people tell me they wish they had been on the jury in the criminal trial of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.”
I wished I could tell you that too, but did you just talk to black people who hate whitey?
Too bad blacks can’t see how cynically they’re being manipulated. The Democrats are using a non-issue to keep blacks on the plantation.
