What is unconstitutional about asking people to pay for their own stuff?

here locally, the newspaper just reported that the average compensation for a cop is 87% more than the average regular citizen....and you know what their pensions must be....

I say...stop hiring them....lets go to all volunteer police and firemen......

I wonder if I could make the case that its constitutional to force the people of Michigan to set aside money for my retirement?

I’m not greedy or anything, I’ll be more than happy with 1/100 of every penny earned in Michigan. I don’t think its unreasonable.
