According to the census, which most certainly has their thumb on the scale, its just barely above 1 percent.

The young lawmaker is a supporter of same-sex marriage.
He believes the government should keep abortion legal.
He considers himself an environmentalist.
He’s also a Republican.

One of these things is not like the others!
Seriously. Why would this [person even think of himself as a Republican?

We don’t need pole loggers or lincoln log pole sitters or whatever they are called. Anyone who leads with their demented sexual proclivities is a distraction. We need Conservative leaders not pipe fitters or whatever. (My wife is saying Log Cabin Republicans. Like I care)

What does it mean that he’s “gay”? What does he do that makes him “gay”? Tap dance in the rain?

>> It’s January 2015, and a newly elected House member from California walks side by side with his male partner to be sworn into office in Washington. The young lawmaker is a supporter of same-sex marriage. He's also a Republican. <<

Obviously he's the "true conservative" and "tea party candidate" in the race who will "Shake up the Washington establishment", according to the standards of Liz Cheney supporters.

He can be a Republican....just not a conservative. Like I’m a conservative who tends to vote for Republicans. When they’re conservatives. I usually advocate voting for the least objectionable candidate, but this candidate would test my motto. And my district has already had one homosexual congressman, Steve Gunderson.

He considers himself an environmentalist. He's also a Republican.

No, he is not a republican. He just calls himself a republican.

But he is a democrat at heart.

As Abe Lincoln pointed out:

How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?

Four.

Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.

Can someone tell me why the whole damned world seems to revolve around gays and their issues?
It’s gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, 24/7.

That's just on odd numbered days.

On even numbered days it's race, race, race, race, race, race, 24/7

He has early support from the party establishment — the National Republican Congressional Committee

So why would anyone in their right mind continue to support these people?
