Former Florida Rep. Allen West had harsh words of criticism for nationally known civil rights activists like Jesse Jackson and the Rev. Al Sharpton, who have remained silent on a video showing black teens beating a white boy, 13, on a school bus: “Ya’ll just make me sick.”
The video, which went viral this past week, depicts a July 9 assault on a Pinellas County school bus. Three black teenage boys, all age 15, beat a white boy, while the bus driver — who has since resigned — tries to verbally halt the altercation but does not physically intervene.
The beating, it was later reported, was due to the victim’s report to school authorities that one of the videotaped assailants tried to sell drugs to him...

Maybe they expelled the victim so it can't happen again.

He also did not do nothing. The moment he became aware of what was happening, he was on the phone calling for help.

I agree with you, and that was my first thought about the bus driver. He was an old guy, and scared.
He called the police, which is what they constantly tell people to do instead of intervining themselves.
I hold more at fault the school administration that did not act immediately when informed those 15-year-olds were selling drugs at school, in effect allowing three more Trayvon Martins go from bad to worse. Early hard intervention might actually save some of these young men their lives later on down the road.
What is Allen West doing in 2014? I know he got slammed down in 2012, but he needs to pick himself up again and announce he is running for the seat again.

The problem with your theory is that President Obama has told schools not to do anything to a black child unless they can railroad a white child to keep things even.
That is what killed Trayvon. Instead of calling the law when they found him with stolen goods they called the Jewelry a recovery and not a theft. The hid the thief, and he went on to bigger things.
That is now the policy in schools. Let the blacks go , hang the white. We want better numbers. Crazy???? Hell yes it’s crazy, but look at the President, It’s his idea.
Okay, let's take a look at this. He was doing his job.
Suppose the driver knew what has already been disclosed, that the three assailants were alleged drug dealers. What happens if he intervenes? First off, he's fired. Second off, he and his employer are liable if he hurts someone. Third, if he gets hurt himself, which is more likely, he runs the risk of leaving a bus full of kids without adult supervision with assailants on board.
Bus drivers are told not to intervene in altercations for good reasons. They're responsible for everyone on the bus, not just one unfortunate child. Does it suck? Damn straight it sucks. But is it what has to be done? Equally sadly, it is.
Maybe Allen should start right there — at the Zimmerman acquittal — and get that right first.
In thinking about wildings, flash mobs, gang violence, polar bear hunting and other urban terrorist activities like beating white kids on school buses, I’ve come to the conclusion that black thugs are cowards. There is power in numbers, but they use that power to prey on weaker victims. It’s almost enough to make me think better of Trayvon for having the grit to assault someone by himself. Maybe that’s why Trayvon has become an instant urban legend amongst hip hoppers, gang bangers, gangsta’ rappers and race hustlers. He did his ground and pound by himself.
Something tells me they don’t have this problem in Singapore.
Sadly, I have to disagree. There is NO level of intervention now that can reverse the path of these SMs*. They have already been hard wired.
Intervention in these things need to start at 5 or 6. (If that's what you mean by "early intervention," then I really agree.)
After that, the animal has already metamorphosed.
