One fallacy in Rush’s contention is that many of the GOPelites don’t care whether they win elections. They still get to stay in Washington. They get to act like the opposition party sometimes. They still get a turn at the money trough. The consultants and advisers get big paychecks, whether their candidates win or lose. That is why so many of them are fat and happy.
