I started out as a fishing writer in 72 wrote a fishing column for numerous papers. Eleven years at the Miami Herald. A buddy of mine was a sports director in miami on a big am station and had me on the air by 78.
I did fishing until the mid 90’s when I started mixing in politics.
Last few years I did a Morning drive am station in the Keys from 7-10 where I did an unusual combination of fishing and politics.
I loved it but radio stations are notoriously poorly managed.

I lived in Coral Gables in apts behind Dadeland, a home on Big Pine Key, and worked on Coral Way for the BSA, from ‘72-’77, knew Charlie Topmiller, owner at WPLG-10, had some friends at the Miami Herald newsroom, and also freelanced for “Southern Living” Magazine on White House Press Corps, covering Nixon when at Key Biscayne w/ Bebe Rebozo. Also freelanced for “People” Magazine in W Palm Beach. Got robbed/shot in ‘74 in West Palm, and moved back to NJ-NYC, to working until ‘89, when I moved to PA to open Family Farm Business for 22yrs. Closed it 11/1/11, due to economy and gov’t interference.
