Analysis: Obama's economic speeches pound Republicans
Reuters ^ | August 7, 2013 | By Steve Holland

The economic policy speeches President Barack Obama has been delivering in recent weeks are turning out to be blunt attacks on Republicans, with an eye toward coming fiscal battles and the 2014 congressional elections.

By obstructing his proposals, Republicans are hurting the nation's "most vulnerable children," Obama said, along with farmers, the military, home-buyers, middle-class job seekers, immigrants and businesses seeking to hire immigrants.

Dave Wasserman, an expert on House races at the non-partisan Cook Political Report, said he could not see how Democrats can pick up House seats in 2014, but that Obama has to make an effort to improve chances that he can get some action taken on his agenda before he turns into a lame duck president.

"Obama has very little choice," he said. "The parties in Congress are so polarized that he can't reasonably search for Republican votes in the House. They simply aren't there on big ticket issues."

If the GOP cannot win an economic debate with this Marxist the party is dead.

It doesn’t seem like too many GOPers have the desire or skill to try to win that debate. Most cower in the corner or come out with some flat, uninspiring consultant-speak on the economy.

The party has BEEN dead.....

I saw a Rush Holt commercial this morning. He is running in the primary to fill Lautenberg’s Senate seat. He actually said the cornerstone of his agenda is to “break up the Wall Street Banks” so they can’t hurt Main Street Americans again. He then said, Cory Booker (Newarks Mayor) may be winning the race but “he’s no progressive!”

I’m thinking, WTF? An all out ad hoc attack against Wall Street Banks? Not a progressive?? When did it become possible to flat out say these things as if it were positive!?

We are screwed.

Hey al rooters... it is called the opposition party... they do not believe in obama or any of his agenda... it is old and stale... and it always fails when tried... all the way back to marx and engels. When dims block republican agendas and legislation you admire and compliment them and when they are in power... you demand that we accept evil as good. You are evil, obama is evil and all dims are evil.

Obama's economic speeches pound Republicans ...and the republicans just keep taking it. That party is like a domestic abuse victim that keeps coming back and saying, "he's gonna be better this time".

Unfortunately, the GOP has to buy PAID advertising to compete with ObaMao's FREE advertising from the enemedia. And the only way to buy paid advertising is with more contributions.

Meanwhile, the Wall Street wing of the public is unwilling to loosen their purse strings without more Main Street support for Chuckie Schumer's immigration bill.

And Main Street is unwilling to throw their rank and file under the bus to enrich the Wall Street/cheap labour cartel.

As long as Democrats continue to promote tainted sham elections and the gimme lobby refuses to be a little less greedy, the end game is economic collapse and government irrelevance. The libtards have always been confident that they will control the resulting chaos. But maybe not this time.

The Obama campaign utilized an effective disinformation technique during the last election by deploying posters to criticize Romney as not being conservative enough to suppress the vote.

I’m seeing these same posting tactic already for 2014.

Beware of posters posing as conservatives who criticize Republicans.

The Sheeple are eating this tripe up. The Republican Leadership does nothing to fight this Slander.

I have real doubts that we will be able to hold the House much less take the Senate in 2014.

All I can do is hope that I am wrong, but as my old Aunt always says, “Live in Hope, Die in Despair”.

I guess there’s no big fee to be “earned” if GOP candidates simply run picture after picture of Detroit’s current landscape while a deep voice intones:

“Obamanomics! We know where THAT leads! We’ve seen it!
High taxes: low employement!
Big government: low employment!
High energy prices: low employment!
Big kickbacks to golf buddies: low employment!
Rule by Democrats is ALWAYS destructive! ALWAYS!

Tell Obama to end his “War Against America’s Middle Class”!

Tell Obama to STOP lecturing US and START doing his OWN job. THAT is the CHANGE we NEED!

Of course they can’t win it: they want those economics.
If they didn’t, then they would be fighting it.

The OP has so much disinformation that it is hard to condense to post length.
Mr. Boehner, as many votes show, has 60 Republicans in the caucus that will vote the Liberal Democrat position on the big issues,TSA,Obamacare,NSA scandals, IRS scandals.... Apart from his character, the reason Mr. Boehner is so weak is that he is Speaker in name only, the Democrats still run the House though they still allow the Republicans to pass meaningless but inflammatory bills that will go nowhere but help in reelection efforts.
There are many acts, as opposed to empty words, that the House Republicans can still do to put the liberals feet to the fire and maybe, just maybe, help the whole country, not just the privileged few and the ideologically correct.

Fact is that Romney is in no way conservative. See Romneycare.

The Republicans need to grow a pair. That has possibly never more important than now.

The Republicans need to borrow some talking points from this excellent article by Wayne Allyn Root and pound nobama with those points every time they open their mouths.

Attack him as a campaigner, not as a president.

>> If the GOP cannot win an economic debate

Keep in mind the Democrats are one with their constituents. The Republicans are at odds with theirs.
