Virtually everything they support is about either the killing of life or the destruction of the individual.
My comment about “leadership” centers around their leaders ability to lead by example vs. martyrdom.
Their followers and the shallow zombies exercise a passion that gets them noticed and makes them feel important.
You could have a very popular TV show that featured the abuse and torture of folks that are “Judgmental”.
Christians are perceived to be Judgmental.
Republicans are perceived to be Judgmental.
Conservatives are perceived to be Judgmental.
The failure to embrace relativism is Judgmental.
Uncertainty rules the day.
The right to be ignorant is defended and embraced.
It truly is a “Brave new World”.
I can tolerate someone who doesn’t want to have kids, seeing it as bad for the planet. What scares me are the millions of liberals who think there need to be fewer people - they’re fine, it’s just the rest of us who have to go.
One of the interesting aspects of driving in New Mexico is all the really weird and funny bumperstickers.
We were following this pickup, totally plastered with stickers, most of which identified the driver and passenger to be of the Lesbian persuasion.
One of the stickers was “Thank you for not breeding”, a sentiment consistent with the weirdos in this article.
The wife and I and our 5 kids waved as we passed them. Figured it was a) a good idea if they didn’t breed, and b) we would take up the slack they created.
Then they should get sterilized. Also, anybody else who wishes for the destruction of the United States.
I've noticed this as well. The vast majority of self-styled environmentalists only seem to fret about pollution and overpopulation when westerners are the perpetrators.
A case in point: Al Gore had no problem selling his network to oil fiefdoms in the Middle East. For some reason, Americans and Europeans extracting oil from their territory is evil, but Arabs doing the same is not. Nor are AL Gore's acolyte's particularly concerned about forcing "cap and trade" down the throat of China (nor about the fact that China basically pours raw industrial wastes into its rivers and harbors while western countries do not).
Similarly, have you ever noticed that the people who complain loudest about the evils of overpopulation are also loud supporters of open borders immigration policy and amnesty for illegals? If "overpopulation" and resource shortages are a problem anywhere, it isn't in western countries, it's in the Third World. Yet for some reason these self-styled saviors of mother nature worry about westerners having 1-2 children per couple, while welcoming immigrants who have about 5 times as many per couple at half the age.
So the bottom line is, most of these environmentalists probably don't care as much about their pet cause of saving the whales or the rainforest or whatever else they're crusading for. These causes are just a convenient sticks for leftists to beat their western "capitalist and imperialists" enemies with.
Liberals are already fans of this, except they want to choose the volunteers.

It wouldn't surprise me if many of these hypocrites had children of their own. It's always someone else's resource consumption or someone else's children that are the problem, not theirs.

I hope they convert all of the leftists to this idea and they all live up to it. Then truly we would have a more sustainable future and a more free and just society.
