think a bit more
why would they activate your mic on the off chance you might be speaking?
instead, they would install an app that would train itself on your voice over time... improving its voice to text conversion.
once it’s trained... the on-phone agent would upload text files of your conversations and anything going on in the room, with appropriate time codes. you wouldn’t have to be using the phone at the time. the agent-app would be running constantly... converting audio into tiny text blurbs easily sent to a remote server, along with identifying meta data (gps location, terminal id, etc)
and yes, i could implement this. if i could, they could... and most likely have already.
That would lead to them wanting everyone to have a phone, though. Oh,wait..
“instead, they would install an app that would train itself on your voice over time... improving its voice to text conversion.”
And to take that one step further, they could fix the app so that it would erase itself if you started searching apps on your phone. Then, it would automatically upload after you stopped searching. You would never know if they listened to you illegally.
I was wondering, if they were looking or a suspect, could they turn on the mic’s of every phone in a mile radius and then run the information through a supercomputer to match a suspects known voice pattern? That would be pretty amazing, in a Matrix/1984/Brave New World/The Net kind of way.
Using NSA logic, record everything all the time, just in case they are looking for a terrorist or something.
Hey, why not? If they CAN, who is to say they shouldn’t?
Certainly not our elected and appointed officials, that much is clear by now
