RE: I wonder if these gays will demand the muzzie population support them as well?

One huge difference -— Christians DON’T threaten to kill gays. Muslims do.

I’d like to see how many brave gays there are out there...

I don’t think it can. In England the Church has government support.

Not so here.

You are right. However, I do think it’s possible that churches will be sued if they don’t perform homosexual marriages. Since we are putting this whole area of “sexual orientation/sexual identity” on the same level as racial discrimination, churches could be impacted.

It’s possible that clergy of charches which don’t perform homosexual marriage will lose their legal right to perform legal marriages. Or that such churches will lose their tax exempt status.

We’ll see if the gay activists decide to go after churches. It could happen. I hope I’m wrong about fears in this area.

Churches can choose to marry or not marry any straight couple but somehow it can be forced to marry every gay couple. How is that fair or equal?

In England the Church has government support.

It doesn't. The Church of England has a special place in the British constitution, but that's nothing to do with government.

But sued under what law? Churches are not public acomodations.

They do not have to let anyone join and they do not have to accept any dogma tossed at them.

Now maybe they lose, but I do not see it, their right to say “by the power vested in me by Almighty God and the state of ——...” and all marriages have to registered secularly...

But I am not sure its a bad thing.

BTW...how ARE marriages recorded with the state? You get a license but who exactly records the actual marriage?

The UK doesn’t have the same Constitution we have.

Yes. I understand which is why I don’t think churches can be sued here as the CoE can be sued there....hope I am not wrong...
