It seems to me just as likely that Stevens was putting the lid back on illicit Hillary-backed arms transfers to the MB-backed rebels, who then invaded the compound and killed him and the marines defending him, making off with the arms. Either way, there were illicit arms transfers to MB-backed rebels. The only question is, who killed them, the rebels’ MB proxies or the Shiites? I don’t see what difference that makes at this point in time. The people responsible sending arms to the MB-backed rebels ought to be clapped in arms no matter who killed Stevens, and even if he were still alive.

My brain went into meltdown trying to figure out who is who.. It's pointless getting involved in this stuff. I don't think that's what was going on in Benghazi though. Stevens HAD to be there and be a sitting duck on 9/11, that is clear. The question is.. WHY?

That is the only theory that fits all the known facts and we have been stating that theory here on Free Republic since right after it happened. The Sunni’s backed by the US and NATO tried to assassinate Assad more then once. That opened pandoras box and started WW III. And now, we have to evacuate every single one of our Embassies in Muslim countries this weekend. What an utter complete disaster DC has become.

Dr. Christian says that Stevens was credited for the assassination of Gaddafi and was using Benghazi as his base of operation for the next phase of the Arab spring: overthrowing Assad in Syria. He was supposed to take Libya from tribal rule to Sunni Islamic rule. It’s not as simple as a sitting duck.
