Issa responds to Mark Levin's criticisms of House GOP Obama scandal investigations
Daily Caller ^ | 7/31/13 | Jeff Poor

On Wednesday’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto,” House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa reacted to criticisms from conservative talk show host Mark Levin had made on the same program just 24 hours earlier.

In that appearance, Levin suggested the House Republican leadership wasn’t doing its due diligence in investigating the scandals involving the Obama administration, including the Benghazi terrorist attacks and the targeted audits of the Internal Revenue Service.

Issa explained to Cavuto that his investigators and his committee were doing its best to connect all the dots, but have been thwarted along the way by the White House and its various cabinet departments.

Why would you think a House committee chair would have authority to put an attorney general in jail?

“Issa screwed up these investigations about as bad as anyone possibly could.”

Yes, he did by letting Lerner off the hook.

What lies hidden among all the diatribe about investigations ((( IS )))....

Bohner and McConnell HAVE funded everything Obama has done..
ALL funding begins and ends in the house..

Bohner COULD cut Obama off at the knees BUT WON’T..
They won’t even defund “certain” agencys...

House republicans FUND ALL malefaction in the White House..
ON PURPOSE with malicious intent aforethought..
THEY ARE COMPLICIT...

p.s. it’s on purpose..

Oh. Issa has been "thwarted". Okay then. May as well forget about it. Nothing can be done. For example, the House cannot refuse to pass any appropriations or other government funding until Ubama's thugs cooperate, because that would be messy or something. The Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms might say mean things about Republicans. So, may as well forget about all those Ubama scandals.

Nothing can be done.

I can hardly believe what a pack of cowardly weaklings my former party has become.

I’m reading it differently. Issa may be collecting all the evidence he can find against Lerner before he brings her back.
When he’s ready he’ll present it to her with an option of talk or LOOOOOOng jail time. If she is willing to testify against the correct person then they can deal otherwise she’ll wear orange.

In the mean time bet she’s not sleeping very well and if she a drinker seldom sober.

This led me to believe Issa is all hot air.

Lois Lerner’s Ace in the Hole

By Ray V. Hartwell, III on 7.24.13)

EXCERPT

Hartwell, who has vast experience defending clients under investigation by the Justice Department, believes that, absent Holder, Lerner might well cooperate with a Justice Department investigation in order to avoid prosecution. But as long as Holder is the Attorney General, and in the absence of a special prosecutor, he can block the prosecution of Lerner. And Lerner has every reason to believe that Holder will do so, however hard career DOJ lawyers lean on her.

Indeed, notes Hartwell, Lerner and her attorney (both reportedly staunch Obama supporters) know how protective Holder is when it comes to the friends and supporters of the president. They know that Holder has declined vigorously to enforce the law against the Black Panthers in Philadelphia when they didn’t even contest the charges; that he has refused to investigate all sorts of vote fraud allegations, not to mention schemes to defraud assorted federal entitlement schemes; that he has repeatedly stonewalled Congress on the Fast and Furious operation; and that he has already declined to prosecute the IRS for leaking confidential taxpayer information on conservatives.

Thus, Lerner has little to fear from Holder’s Justice Department.

But what about the House of Representatives? Once again, Hartwell reminds us, it all comes down to Holder. Congress can hold Lerner in contempt, but has no power to prosecute her. It can only refer the matter to DOJ.

Therefore, as Hartwell concludes, under present circumstances one should not hold one’s breath waiting for Lois Lerner to cooperate with the IRS investigation in any genuinely meaningful way.

JOHN adds: Sadly, I am afraid that is correct. The Department of Justice under Barack Obama and Eric Holder is utterly corrupt.

And a DC appeals court will reverse the decision.

Do you really want to.see “Holder exonerated” in the headlines core weeks on end?
You’re going to need to have more...keep issa on the trail...but don’t blame everything on him.

“Issa needs to grow a set...starting by putting Holder in prison for contempt of congress....”

Actually, the “pair problem” most likely rests with Boner. I’d bet money that it’s Boner who is holding things up.
