To bad but the fact is Ted Cruz is just a U.S. Citizen. He is not a Constitutional U.S. natural born Citizen as required by Article 2 Section 1, the presidential clause.
And this debate will go on and on about natural born citizenship. As I understand it, the courts have never ruled on exactly what natural born citizen means. And, unless someone starts a court challenge to Ted Cruz or anyone else on those grounds, realistically, nothing would keep such a person from running for president.
“To bad but the fact is Ted Cruz is just a U.S. Citizen.”
Like that fact hasn’t stop a certain idiot from Kenya.
zzzzzz
Where was Cruz born, or his parents born?
Ted Cruz is just a U.S. Citizen
Then he is one up on Obama.
It really doesn’t matter at this point. If states are going to allow him on the ballot, then he can be President.
Until Obama is removed from “office” and all acts of his “administration” are nullified, I am supporting the Republican I think will govern the most justly and wisely, regardless of his NBC status.
You are on the lunatic fringe.
NOBODY with any authority at law, agrees with you.
Cruz is QUALIFIED to be President.
>>To bad but the fact is Ted Cruz is just a U.S. Citizen. He is not a Constitutional U.S. natural born Citizen as required by Article 2 Section 1, the presidential clause.<<
Damnit! I was hoping for other, but Cruz was born in Canada of at least one non-USA parent (his dad, who didn’t become a citizen until 2005).
He doesn’t have the fig leaf of a fake birth thousands of miles from his real birth like the first kenyan.
Cruz suffers from a Conservative illness: telling the truth.
He is a natural born citizen per Article 1 section 8 which vests Congress with the authority of making the rules of naturalization. Which they have codified in Title 8 Section 1401 subsection G that stipulates that Mr Cruz is a citizen at birth and thus has never needed naturalization.
Lincoln was riding over the prairies of Illinois one day a man said to him, “Stranger you’re going to have trouble at Fox River. The bridge is down.” After thinking for a moment, Lincoln said, “Thank you mister but I make it a rule of my life never to cross Fox River until I get to it”
He has not even talked about running for President. Let cross the “Citizenship River” when we get to it.
Too bad for you but Ted himself disagrees with your conclusion.
It gets nutty around here especially when there are posters who if you follow their “logic”? he isn’t even a citizen of the United States at all but is Canadian because why?
He was born on the soil.
Tell us, dear expert, what makes him even a citizen as you say?
If he was born in Canada WHAT makes him a citizen at ALL, Mr. expert?
And if you will go down that thinking path a ways, you will find yourself - if honest - rethinking the whole issue of what does it mean to be “natural born”.
The poll tells us something, Americans are Hungry for a REAL CONSERVATIVE!!!
On the one hand, I know you’re right.
On the other hand, I don’t think we can continue to play by more proper rules than the Democrats do.
I hereby refuse to obey ANY RULES AND LAWS that the left refuses to obey.
Play to freakin' win.
