I am suspicious of this dude.
How can a former POW backstab his country?

revenge?
or hate?

I am sad to admit this, but I have never trusted McCain — and thought he was very a poor Presidentail candidate — though I did vote for him in the general election. The only positive, I feel of recent, is he helped Sara burst onto the national political stage.

Simple cowardice.

A moral compass that's completely out of kilter?

Seriously -- I don't believe the man has ever been stable. Before OR after his POW experience.

The uncomfortable truth: MOST of Congress experience the same psychosis. Ergo, a bunch of megalomaniacs, psychopaths and sociopaths to various degrees of overlap run the government. Half the citizenry are afflicted by the same mental illnesses.

(Sorry for my sun-shiny prognosis ;-)

not revenge or hate but possibly he does not want his cooperation revealed. He may have compromised secrets that put many other Americans at risk. He may have even turned to endorse the communists and denounce the war.

the Vietnam war (police action) was obviously lost due to interference within our own government. There were 3 sides; the US military that wanted to win, the US government socialists that wanted us to lose, the US government and citizens that thought it was none of our business and we shouldn’t have even been involved.

Perhaps releasing too many of the records would allow the public to put the pieces together and see that we lost due to sabotage.
