MSNBC’s Harris-Perry: Life Begins When Parents Say It Begins, Not Science
Pajamas Media ^ | 07/24/2013 | Bryan Preston

Leftist bill themselves as science-based in their thinking. It’s a convenient pose they’re willing to scrap when it gets in the way, though, as Melissa Harris-Perry proves. In a segment on — not making this up — the royal baby, Harris-Perry lays out when she believes that life begins.

“When does life begin? I submit the answer depends an awful lot on the feeling of the parents. A powerful feeling – but not science,” Harris-Perry said on her show Sunday. “The problem is that many of our policymakers want to base sweeping laws on those feelings.”

That’s some dangerous thinking, opening the door even further to infanticide. But it’s typical of a political philosophy that rejects facts in favor of feelings. It is odd, though, considering that Harris-Perry is on the record stating that parents do not have any rights over their own children. In Harris-Perry’s world, parents determine when life begins but then have no inherent right to direct how that child is raised. You can birth ‘em, but the state will raise ‘em.

Harris-Perry has her facts regarding new abortion-related laws backwards. The pro-life side is basing new laws regarding both health standards at clinics and the timelines when abortions are allowed on science. Better standards lead to protecting women. Technology has shown that babies in utero feel pain, and has moved the point of viability farther forward with each passing year.

I’m obviously not going to sit here and argue with someone who thinks it’s appropriate to wear tampons as earrings on a network broadcast. Harris-Perry’s mind is made up. Fortunately most Americans are tuning her out and see reason: The country becomes a bit more pro-life as technology and science improve our understanding of how we were all fearfully and wonderfully made.

She is advocating post-birth abortion of children until the parents die.

RE: Which of course confirms George Zimmerman’s innocence. Thanks Melissa!

The only problem with that are Trayvon’s parents...

The leftist part of society is defining the scripture that says God will turn them over to a reprobate mind. They have decided men are God's equals, saying when life is there and when it is not allowed to be.

The abject evil spewed by your dyed in the wool leftists is stunning.

Even the SC decision on Roe v. Wade, as onerous and skewed as it was did not begin to take abortion to the sacrament it has become today. They have also skewed the language to shut down objectiion to abortion. Those against it "take away a woman's right to choose, they are woman haters, they are right wing fanatics," etc. The real evil and the real fanatics, putting their power above all are the Democrat party leftists/progressives/fanatical haters/societal engineering egoists.

This is the new paganism...or rather the old paganism. It is one and the same. This woman would be the first to scream about and involk Human Rights...apparently for herself, not for an infant or child. And the moral code which orders her is that she is bigger, stronger, older than the child. She is the new nazi who lays claim to be able to determine 'life worthy of life'. Well, I say she is smaller and more vulnerable than I am and I choose that her fate be the same as she proclaims for the children. Surely she would find no moral dispute with my pronouncement. Yet, of course, she would. She would claim she deserves life because she is human and humans have human rights. It is what makes us human. So I will take the position with my Harry Callahan .44 magnum and tell her either agree with me that there are Human Rights or I shoot. No doubt she would say I cannot shoot her....she has rights. Either way I win the debate.

No, this woman is the new pagan who would have thrown the baby off of the pyramid without remorse. The colleges are teaching these student by the millions this worldview. This is this country's future if adults do not come to their senses and turn it around. This is being promulgated by MSNBC. It should not be allowed to continue to broadcast this poison. She should never be able to say a word on TV....not because she does not have first amendment right but because the people of this country should make the demand.

How would she wish to kill the infant. Would she prefer a poison or a hammer or a baton or starvation? Abandonment to the elements seem to be her option. That is a slow death...but she is not required to suffer that terror. If this country moves to this, much as Obama said he would abandon a newborn to die of hypothermia after being laid on a stainless steel table, we are worse that the islamofascists.

It seems, the Reaper cometh.
