Surveillance cameras caught a deadly confrontation outside a gas station in southeast Houston Sunday evening when a 23-year-old woman shot and killed a man with a rifle.
It happened at the Gulf station in the 6800 block of Cullen Boulevard shortly before 7 p.m., according to Houston police.
Video shows a woman, who was dressed in camouflage shorts and a white t-shirt, arguing with a man near the gas pumps. At some point, she pulled out a rifle from the trunk of her vehicle and pointed it at the man.
That is when the man took a swing at her, knocking her backward. The woman then aimed her rifle directly at him and fired off several rounds.
To witnesses’ surprise, she then pulled out her cell phone and recorded the body lying on the ground.
The victim, identified by family members as 58-year-old Lewis Daniel, died at the scene. A knife was also found on the ground near him, police said.

Race? Obama will no doubt comment “if I was 58 years old and fat” and “if I was a tall 23 year old woman”. It looked like the old man was the aggressor.
At about 1:05 in the video, the reporter says that police were “wondering why Daniel was murdered”. Murder is a criminal act — the reporter should have said something less judgmental, like “killed”.
Oh, the reporter also says the man swung an umbrella at the woman. If you look at 00:44, you can clearly see that he does not swing the umbrella — he swings his other arm, which appears to hold a knife.

No argument here - I was just mentioning the usual lackluster media performance. From what I saw in the video, the guy had ample warning to stop - but didn't. He did the opposite - he pressed a knife attack against a person with a drawn gun.
Mr. Obama’s wife said it was dangerous for him to go to gas stations.
It’s weird how she walked right up to him after getting the rifle out of the car. If she were afraid of him you would think she would keep some distance. In the first part of the video they are talking but nothing unusual seems to be going on.
His bro said he wouldn’t hurt nobody.
That’s called ‘signifyin’, she brought the rifle out (looks like a Ruger 1022 to me) and signified she would cap one off in him if he didn’t go away. He didn’t respect her signifyin and he got shot for it.
Never bring a knife...

At one point he makes a comment about "never bring a knife to a gun fight".
Put a rifle or handgun in her hands and the situation turns exponential.

The lesson to be learned if you find yourself in a similar situation, hand your BUG (back up gun) to the closest black guy and say,
“I’ll give you twenty bucks to shoot this SOB.”
Over the years, “we” have seen many videos in which the part where the victim produces a firearm is followed by the part where the perp trips over his own feet scrambling to get away.
Ya just gotta study the modern black vernacular ... disrespectin’ someone when they’re signifyin is a most egregious insult to their person. That is the category od ‘dissin’. And when you hear, “I’m gonna cut you, nigga”, everyone within twenty feet is subject to the rule of dissin’.
