Hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets in Houston on Monday to protest against the acquittal of George Zimmerman, but what started as a peaceful rally turned terrifying for one woman who claims she was assaulted while trying to get her daughter to the hospital.
“I looked up and I see all the protesters, they’re everywhere,” said Georgia, who asked Click 2 Houston that her last name not be used. “So, we got into the traffic and they’re stopping us and not letting us go.”
Police told the station that protesters spilled into the road, blocking traffic for about 15 minutes during rush hour. Georgia was trying to get her younger daughter to Texas Children's Hospital, because she was having an emergency allergic reaction to some medication.
“My mom rolled down the window,” said Georgia’s older daughter. “She said, ‘We’re trying to get my granddaughter to the hospital,’ and a guy just started hitting her.”

Some how that is believable, but I’d bet they’d be johny-on-the-spot if a “protester” was injured by any of the scenarios mentioned in this thread.
I think it’s in the urban dictionary.
I’ve been saying this ever since the alphabet departments have been militarizing themselves.
They don’t intend to quell civil unrest,
but to protect the rioters from the law abiding.

You may be correct, and when this is the widely held belief, that is when this society will totally fall apart.

Not necessarily. Society might just divide itself into two segregated parts (which is kind of what is happening). Those who live the thug life will be stuck in the ghetto and will indeed be profiled when they try to leave (not because of the color of their skin but by their attire and behavior).
The zoos in general was what I was referring to. But sometimes you can’t. Then, again, in my opinion, one does what they consider necessary to survive.

My response as well to anyone that thinks standing in front of me to get me to stop for other than a legitimate reason. I live near the border and have twice had illegals try to force me to stop- force me to give them a ride? Carjacking plans? I have no idea but they changed their mind when they realized I was seriously going to run over them. I nearly took out a hitchhiker on a freeway onramp once that thought he could get me to stop by stepping in front of me. He jumped back when he realized I was not stopping or even slowing down.
Once a group of illegals put a woman and baby in the highway to stop me, the men were standing beside the road, I just headed for one of the men and they all scattered. I do notify Border Patrol when this has happened in case the illegals have some sort of emergency situation going on, but never do I stop.
A rancher’s wife ran over an illegal that tried to force her to stop a few years back and at first illegal supporter groups/authorities were going to try to make it a big deal to get her in trouble but she hired an attorney and it all went away.
Nope I am not stopping for some fool that has their own agenda and I taught my daughters to never stop in that situation either.
Well, there's your problem! She should have told them something they could understand, like "We are on our way to get some Skittles!"...
