“U.S. Seen Losing to China as World Leader”

Yup, no doubt of it, and thank you president moron and all the morons who’ve supported you.

I had to do a double-take on those dates.

Thought the top one was 1900 at first!

20 years...that’s mind-boggling.

The U.S. is still the world's largest manufacturer -- and probably will be for quite some time.

What we don't have anymore is large-scale manufacturing employment. Those jobs are never coming back. Even in a "cheap labor" place like China they are continuously removing human labor through automation.

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen that picture, today was the first time I stopped, and actually noticed the dates.

20 years.

It is mind-blowing.

The world is moving forward at a mind-numbing pace. We are giving away the lead, and heading for disaster if we don’t change course.

Soon.

The U.S. is still the world's largest manufacturer...   ...What we don't have anymore is large-scale manufacturing employment.

--and this is a good thing.

The U.S. exports $17,250,000 ,000 worth of food to China every year and what we don't have is large-scale agricultural employment.   The grown-up style is to live, deal with, and prosper in a changing world even while so many around us seem set on the U.S. failing.  America's doing just fine and nobody needs to cling to nonsense like "China already exports more than America".  Reality must be accepted on its own terms:

US 2012 export of goods'n'services = 2,194.491 Billions of Dollars

China exports 2012 = 2049.185 Billions of Dollar
